FULL DAY CLASSIC Kids In Camp

Energetic, experienced staff will lead children in a summer of F-U-N with activities including arts & crafts, cooking, games, swimming, field trips and much more each week. Three field trips a week, activities and 2 daily snacks are included in weekly fee. Campers must bring a bag lunch (no glass containers, please). A $25 deposit per child per week due at registration; balance due 1 week prior to the starting date of each camp week. All fees are non-refundable. 9 weeks to choose from. KIC will not meet Tuesday, July 4th due to the holiday. Every Friday camp will meet at the Brambleton Center. Prior completion of Kindergarten is required.

FULL DAY CLASSIC Green Ridge Summer Day Camp

There’s no way your kids will be bored this summer, when they sign up for full day camp at Green Ridge! This program combines the ‘healthy fun’ of Green Ridge Recreation Center and Splash Valley Water Park, with the excitement of organized activities from our experienced staff. Your camper’s week will be filled with arts, crafts, sports, games, swimming at Splash Valley and indoor pool, field trips and more. All activities and two daily snacks are included in the weekly fee. Campers must pack a daily lunch, swimsuit, towel and athletic shoes. A $25 per week deposit is due at time of registration and the remaining balance will be scheduled through automatic draft of your bank card. Green Ridge members receive an additional discount per week. Participants must be RISING 1st graders and have completed a year of Kindergarten. Sign up for all 10 full weeks of enrichment, or simply select the weeks you need. Camp will not meet July 4th.

Green Ridge Theme Camp Add-On

Get all the FUN of a half-day themed camp with the CONVENIENCE of a full-day enrichment camp! The Green Ridge Add-On Program allows your child to participate in Green Ridge Summer Day Camp in the morning and afternoon but still attend the Themed Camp of their choice. This gives working parents the perfect option to add variety to your child’s summer plans. You must register for BOTH the themed camp and the add-on listed below. Please note that children must have completed a year of Kindergarten in order to take part in this experience. Give back to your community! We will help out organizations like The SPCA, Feeding America, Friendship Manor and more. At the end of the week, teens will receive a certificate for their participation. Please make sure teens pack a lunch daily. Friday afternoon will be a well-earned fun day at Splash Valley Water Park after a week of hard work.

Campers, brace yourselves for an exhilarating week on the water! From stand-up paddle boarding (SUP) to kayaking and canoeing, this week long program will take your river adventures to the next level! Each day will include watercraft instruction, skill development, river safety and awareness, and loads of paddle time. Pedal your way to summer fun! Dedicated to honing mountain biking skills, this week long day camp program will get campers trail ready with professional mountain bike instruction and plenty of ride time. Come experience archery in the great outdoors at Explore park this summer. All instructors are certified by the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries and have undergone a certification program referred to as BAI, ‘Basic Archery Instructor’. The camp’s core content includes archery history, safety, technique, equipment, mental concentration and self-improvement. Other activities include teambuilding, games and initiatives, hiking and much more! No experience necessary.

Get ahead of the game with this week long day camp dedicated to the world of outdoor sports. Learn skills of the trade from experienced staff with an emphasis on education, ethics, and fun! The Explorer program provides a safe and fun coed, residential experience for campers entering 3rd and 4th grades. Geared toward campers looking for a backcountry wilderness experience, Outpost is guaranteed to be rewarding and fun! Campers will start the week at Camp Roanoke participating on the high and low ropes courses and then travel off-site to experience two nights of tent camping, a day on the river, two nights backpacking, outdoor living skills, and more!

Leave no trace principles and environmental awareness are incorporated into all aspects of this program. Registration is limited to 10 campers per week. Tuition includes all meals, camping fees, certain equipment and activity transportation.

This year, choose between two exciting off-site adventures. Travel to the New River Gorge in West Virginia for an extreme experience not to be missed. Experience tent style living, whitewater rafting, rock climbing, hiking and environmental education deep in the mountains. If the ocean suits you better, try our Beach & Surfing Trek, where you’ll travel to the east coast and set up camp right next to the beach; making new friends as you explore local habitats while learning the basics of surfing, sea kayaking, and stand-up paddle boarding. There will also be plenty of beach play, swimming, and evening sunsets. No experience needed. Registration is limited to 10 campers. Let’s go camping! We’ll create our own campground complete with tents, sleeping bags, flashlights, and a pretend campfire. Tell campfire stories, go on a bear hunt and have a special s’more snack. Everyone receives a toy lantern to take home.

A book a day, keeps a child at play! In this camp we will choose various stories each day to read and discuss. After each story we will have fun acting out our own version, designing crafts and snacks that goes along with the story! Camp will not meet on Tuesday, July 4th.

Let your daughter have a blast discovering what cheerleading is really all about. HALF DAY - SPORTS Little Chippers Golf Camp

Would you like your child to learn a sport they will be able to play for the rest of their life? If so, send them to a series of weekly one day clinics led

by PGA Golf professionals from local golf courses where they will learn the proper fundamentals needed to begin playing golf. The clinics will focus on learning the grip, swing, putting, chipping, golf etiquette, and life skills.

Campers are required to bring their own age appropriate equipment to camp. A limited number of prearranged loaner sets are available for free by contacting the Parks and Recreation Department.

Volleyball Camp

Have a child who is interested in playing volleyball yet have no idea where to begin? If so, this camp is perfect for them. Each camper will be schooled on the basics of volleyball including passing, serving, setting, spiking, digging, blocking and court positioning from high school coaches. The camp is designed specifically to give beginner or intermediate level players the skills needed to try out for middle school and junior varsity volleyball.
