“My wish for Gingernut’s Angels is to have little angels born all over New Zealand, which will be my daughter’s legacy.”
Jaimee Lupton, Founder Gingernut’s Angels, New Zealand
Jaimee Lupton knows all too well the complexities and emotions involved when having a child doesn’t come easily, experiencing firsthand the immense joys and severe heartbreaks throughout her own fertility journey over several years.
In 2021, Jaimee and her partner Nick Mowbray conceived a much-tried-for pregnancy after multiple rounds of IVF. Sadly, their first daughter Gingernut would be born perfect, but still, in March 2022.
Jaimee describes the grief of losing a child as uniquely devastating: “like a club, no one wants to be part of.” In the wake of Gingernut’s passing, Jaimee connected with countless people across New Zealand & beyond who were on their own, often arduous, fertility journeys.
The common sentiment was one of struggle, not just with the emotional and physical effects of treatments but also financially.
“It breaks my heart to think that finances would be the reason someone doesn’t get to be a parent,” says Lupton.
“My wish for Gingernut’s Angels is to have little angels born all over New Zealand, which will be my daughter’s legacy.”
Despite her success as the founder of the hugely successful MONDAY Haircare, Jaimee wanted to be a parent “more than anything.”
With her second daughter, Noa, born in April 2024, Jaimee knows how crucial it is to keep hope for those still on their journey.
Gingernut’s Angels is a heartfelt initiative dedicated to providing financial support for individuals in New Zealand navigating fertility challenges. The organisation, founded in 2024 by Jaimee Lupton, honours her daughter, Gingernut, who was born healthy but prematurely in March 2022 after a long IVF journey. Jaimee understands the emotional rollercoaster that accompanies fertility struggles, having experienced both the profound joys and heart-wrenching setbacks along her path to motherhood.
In New Zealand, one in four individuals faces infertility, and one in eight require medical assistance to conceive. The average cost of a single IVF treatment is around $17,000, with couples typically undergoing 1.7 rounds on average.
With Gingernut’s Angels, Jaimee aims to lighten this financial burden by offering grants tailored to each unique fertility journey. Applications are open to all couples and singles in New Zealand who aspire to grow their families, regardless of their background.
Through this initiative, Jaimee hopes to provide a glimmer of hope and support to those on similar paths, making the dream of parenthood a little more attainable for everyone.
Gingernut’s Angels has teamed up with a group of dedicated real-life Angels to provide comprehensive support for aspiring parents throughout their entire fertility journey, extending far beyond just financial assistance.

Q&A with Anna Taylor
After representing New Zealand in Paris earlier this year, Brenda couldn’t wait to catch up with Anna Taylor to discuss her recent experiences and achievements.
In an era where environmental consciousness is paramount, Rise Community Magazine has taken a significant step towards sustainability by switching to Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified paper. This decision reflects the magazine’s commitment to preserving natural resources and promoting responsible forestry practices, a commitment that is shared and upheld by its readership and the broader community.
FSC certification is a globally recognised standard that ensures products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social, and economic benefits. By choosing FSC paper, Rise Community Magazine ensures that its publications contribute to protecting our community and the environment.
The switch to FSC paper marks a pivotal moment in Rise Community Magazine’s environmental strategy. FSC-certified paper is sourced from managed, sustainable forests, meaning that for every tree harvested, another is planted. This practice helps maintain the ecological balance and combats climate change by preserving carbon-storing trees.
Moreover, FSC certification promotes using recycled materials, reducing the demand for virgin resources. By utilising FSC paper, we significantly lower our environmental footprint, positively contributing to the planet.

QUESTIONS - BRENDA DONALDSON ANSWERS - HANNAH PORTER
@bearandmoonz | bearandmoo.co.nz
What products and services do Bear & Moo offer?
We proudly offer three of our own brands: Bear & Moo (cloth nappies, reusable products, silicone toys, and swimwear), Hello Poppet (kids’ clothing), and Launder & Love (cot sheets).
Plus, we retail a wide range of products for your parenting journey - everything from lactation products and lunchboxes to toys, books, bath products, and a wealth of information!
What trends in the industry have you observed that have influenced your growth strategy?
Our customers value the experience and want to feel appreciated.
With many retailers offering similar products, we focus on community building rather than just price or range. Our epic loyalty programme and engaging social media content help foster that connection. While customers are price-conscious, they’re willing to invest in quality.
We analyse sales data to ensure we stock products that resonate, continuously bringing in new items based on customer feedback.
How does Bear & Moo engage with the local community?
Giving back is important to me, and I recognise the privilege I have. As a business, we partner with Loving Arms as a drop-off point and support Little Miracles Trust by donating products. We regularly contribute to fundraisers across the motu and offer donation options at checkout, allowing customers to support local charities.
What are your long-term goals for Bear & Moo?
I want to expand our product range so customers can find everything they need in one place.
We’re quickly outgrowing our warehouse and hope to host more community events, providing a space for parents to connect.
My goal is to be a beloved shopping destination, our growth will come from excelling in what we do. I also aim to share my knowledge and help other business owners thrive.
What feedback have you received from customers about your products/ services?
We take great pride in the reviews we receive - customers love our nappies for their ease of use, earning us the title of ‘Best Cloth Nappy Brand’ from the OhBaby! Awards in 2020, 2022 & 2024!
Our other products also receive fantastic feedback, and I’m proud of our ratings on both our website and Google.
What advice would you give to other businesses looking to expand into a new market?
Trust your gut and launch quickly, just go for it!
We activated shipping and ads to see what happens. If we grow fast, we can hire more staff and restock; if it gets too big, we’ll explore other options. It’s all about testing the market and adapting.
I’m a get-things-done person, and remember: if you can live with the worstcase scenario, it’s worth pursuing.
Finally, what has been the most rewarding aspect of your journey with Bear & Moo so far?
The most rewarding aspect of my journey with Bear & Moo is seeing our products in use, whether it’s swimwear on kids, bags at events, or clothing on friends at kindy.
I never get used to being recognised as ‘the Bear & Moo lady,’ but I get a kick out of knowing that our brand is well recognised across the country.
Awards based on public votes mean the most to me, as they reflect our customers’ love and support!

Originally from Morrinsville in the Waikato, we were delighted to pose some of our most pressing questions to Emma and to highlight the remarkable Emma Lewisham and her eponymous skincare brand.
Emma Lewisham was founded to create evidence-based, natural skincare that works.
Engineered to activate the innate intelligence of the skin, their formulations harness up to 25 pioneering ingredients that deliver synergistic action across multiple skin pathways for superior results.
As the world’s first certified Climate Positive and 100% circular skincare brand, they are leading the transition to a more sustainable beauty industry.
Originally from Morrinsville in the Waikato, we were delighted to pose some of our most pressing questions to Emma and to highlight the remarkable Emma Lewisham and her eponymous skincare brand. Her dedication to innovation and sustainability honours her roots and sets a new benchmark in the beauty industry.
Join us as we delve into how Emma Lewisham’s journey has shaped the brand and gain insights into some of the critical elements that define it.
We are thrilled to showcase the powerhouse business you and your team represent. Your background as someone born and raised in Morrinsville and spending many of your formative years around farms makes you a perfect fit for our community magazine. How does your hometown continue to influence your work and values today?
My father worked in farming and grew up on farms in the Waikato and Whangarei, so I spent a lot of time around that environment growing up.
Morrinsville was a grounding place for me - a community where people value hard work and humility. I loved being around nature and animals during that time of my life, which gave me a deep sense of connection to the land and an appreciation for the simplicity and balance that comes with it.
This connection is reflected in the business I have built, with humility, hard work, and sustainability being core values in everything we do. I am really proud of being born in the Waikato, where the people and way of life instilled strong values in me that continue to shape who I am today.
Could you share the inspiration behind the creation of Emma Lewisham and how long you spent developing ideas behind the scenes before launching your first product to the public? Additionally, what is the typical development time for an Emma Lewisham product?
After a fateful conversation with my doctor, I learned that the product I had been using - one containing the active ingredient hydroquinone - was not recommended during my pregnancy journey. My doctor couldn’t recommend a natural alternative that was effective, which ignited my passion to find a solution.
This led me on a mission to develop a product that could genuinely target hyperpigmentation without compromising on safety or efficacy.
I spent three years working with physiologists and biochemists to, first and foremost, understand how the skin works and how working in harmony with the skin could generate superior results.
The outcome of this was our founding formulation, the Skin Reset Serum. This award-winning product took over 57 iterations and three years of dedicated development. It was designed to work powerfully with the skin’s physiology, targeting five key touch points of the pigmentation process, not only brightening the skin but also preventing further pigmentation from forming.
Five years and 700 five-star reviews later, the Skin Reset Serum remains one of my most loved products. It solidified my belief that nature is the world’s most powerful bioengineer.
Typically, the development time for an Emma Lewisham product can vary, but we commit to an extensive process.
The genesis of your product range was built on identifying a gap in the marketplace for a natural, sustainable, yet luxurious offering.
Now, five years on, how competitive is this space, and with consumers increasingly seeking naturalbased products, how do you see the market evolving in terms of innovation, consumer demand, and sustainability practices?
Consumers are becoming much more conscious about what they’re putting on their skin and the impact those choices have on the planet. As this awareness grows, I believe we’ll see even more innovation focused on addressing the full lifecycle of beauty products - not just creating them but taking responsibility for what happens after they’ve been used.
Sustainability can no longer be a “nice to have”; it’s a core expectation. This is crucial because the world needs scale and pace if we are to meet global climate goals, and with this, businesses will need to take ownership of everything they put into the world. It won’t be enough to sell a product and walk away - there will be increasing pressure to solve challenges around packaging, waste, and overall environmental impact.
This shift will drive more creative solutions, and the brands that lead with true innovation and accountability will be the ones that stand out in the market.
QUESTIONS - KIRIS MEGAW ANSWERS - EMMA LEWISHAM @emmalewisham | emmalewisham.com
The inspiration behind the creation of Emma Lewisham stemmed from my personal journey with health & skincare, particularly my struggle with hyperpigmentation.
This can take anywhere from a year to several years, depending on the complexity of the formulation and the rigorous third-party testing involved.
If we started refilling and reusing even a small portion of the 120 billion units of beauty packaging waste that’s created every year, what a significant impact on our planet we could make as an industry.
As consumers increasingly develop a deeper understanding of the ingredients in their skincare and beauty products, how is the beauty industry performing on a global scale? Furthermore, do you anticipate this heightened awareness will lead to reduced market competition in the coming years?
The heightened awareness around ingredients in products is pushing brands to step up, innovate, and prove their worth in delivering effective solutions. At Emma Lewisham, we see this shift as an exciting opportunity to raise the bar even further.
As more consumers gravitate towards natural products, they want assurance that these can perform just as well, if not better, than synthetic alternatives. We uniquely invest in world-leading independent biomedical testing at both in vivo (clinical) and in vitro (laboratory) levels to validate their pioneering results. The results of this testing routinely demonstrate Emma Lewisham formulations to outperform leading luxury brands, which is a key reason we have quickly become a top-selling brand in retailers such as MECCA, further solidifying nature’s ability to deliver superior results.
Just over three years ago, you made the significant decision to share the Intellectual Property (IP) for Emma Lewisham.
Reflecting on that choice now, how has it performed over time, and looking back, considering the weight of such a decision, do you remain satisfied with it?
Reflecting on the decision to share our sustainability IP over three years ago, I can confidently say it has been an
incredibly impactful decision. We’ve seen first-hand how it has driven a significant movement towards sustainability across Australasia, influencing not only beauty brands but also retailers who have embraced these practices. The endorsement of our sustainability efforts by Dr. Jane Goodall was a huge validation of our work, and it reaffirmed our commitment to continue advising and influencing others in the beauty space.
Looking back, we remain proud of that decision. It was never just about our brand; it was about driving change on a larger scale. The beauty industry traditionally followed a linear model of “take, make, waste,” and we knew that to meet global climate goals, we needed pace and scale. By sharing our IP, we have actively encouraged other brands to follow, promoting collaboration over competition with the hope that the industry can move toward more sustainable practices. This approach has made a significant impact, even catching the attention of global industry leaders like Estée Lauder, who reached out to us directly.
What makes your products more sustainable and which aspect of your supply chain has been the most challenging in making carbon positive?
One of the biggest sustainability breakthroughs has been the development of our refillable packaging system.
As a small brand, this was initially a challenge - developing refillable moulds wasn’t readily available & required a major investment. But five years later, we are proud to say it was worth it. Our refill system has not only reduced waste but has become a key part of our customer experience, with 30% of our
purchases now being refills. As a result, in August 2024, we have saved 150,000 units of new jars and bottles being produced which saved 100 tonnes of CO2e emissions.
From an awareness standpoint, do you believe consumers have a deep enough understanding of your products to ensure continued loyalty and repeat purchases, or is the marketplace too saturated, making it difficult to fully achieve this?
The loyalty of our customers is a testament of the efficacy of our products.
We’re proud to expand the reach of our natural, science-backed skincare to customers globally, now being one of MECCA’s top-selling brands across Australia and New Zealand, as well as being in retailers like Harrods, Liberty, GOOP, and stores across the USA.
Our formulations and business model embody a genuinely revolutionary approach to skincare that unites luxurious, science-based natural skincare with pioneering progress in sustainability and we are so grateful for the trust and passion from those who believe in our mission and values.
We are particularly excited that we can now visit our nearest Mecca store to stock up on our favourite Emma Lewisham products.
It’s the Supernatural Vitale Elixir for Brenda, and I (Kiris) recently spotted your products at Harrods in London - a significant achievement!
Additionally, you’ve recently relaunched your patented Supernatural Blemish Serum. Could you please elaborate on the reasons behind this re-launch and what can consumers expect from this revitalised product?
The decision to reformulate and enhance the Supernatural Blemish Serum after its original release was driven by our commitment to delivering the best possible results for our customers. The very first of its kind in skincare, our patented live probiotic serum interacts with blemishes and inflammatory skin conditions such as rosacea, eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis, in a way that hasn’t been seen before.
One of the things we’re most proud of is successfully bringing a genuinely live skin probiotic, not one from the gut or dirt, to market. It is the result of 20 years of research and overcoming a lot of complexities and challenges behind the scenes. To ensure the live probiotic stays alive and effective, we developed a formula that keeps the probiotic dormant until it meets your skin. This required overcoming a range of technical challenges, particularly given the probiotic’s thicker consistency.
At Emma Lewisham, transparency is a core value. That’s why we revisited the serum to refine the delivery system, doubling the size of the vessel for the same price to ensure that everyone can experience the transformative results it offers. Personally, I’ve been amazed by the life-changing feedback we’ve received from customers who’ve used this serum, and we want to make sure that each and every person gets those same incredible results.
What are some consumer testimonials that have stuck with you and what can consumers expect to see from the Emma Lewisham brand throughout 2025?
The consumer testimonials that have resonated with me the most, are the ones that state how the Supernatural Blemish Serum has transformed their skin. We’ve seen the unbelievable results and have been overwhelmed by how much this has genuinely changed people’s lives. This is why Emma Lewisham was founded - to give people confidence to show their skin, unfiltered, without impacting their health.
I’m excited to announce that following the relaunch of our Supernatural Blemish Serum, we’re introducing an entirely new range. After eight years of dedicated development, we’re launching our new mineral SPF 50 range, Sunceutical™.These products represent some of the most challenging and innovative formulations we’ve ever worked on. Meeting the highest standards of broad-spectrum sun protection, our 100% mineral Sunceutical™ range is both TGA and FDA certified and combines invisible SPF 50 protection with advanced skincare benefits. We’re incredibly proud to bring these products to market, and confident that they will redefine industry standards and offer something truly unique beyond what’s traditionally available.
It’s an exciting new chapter for us, and we can’t wait to share it with our customers.

In this exclusive Q&A, we explore the refined vision of Kat and Phil, the proud owners of Social Light. With an acute awareness of a niche in the market, they seized a remarkable opportunity to elevate lighting in New Zealand. Kat, an accomplished interior designer, is driven by a passion for sourcing beautiful, ethically crafted lighting solutions, while Phil, a seasoned electrician, has discovered his own enthusiasm for the art of illumination.
Together, they established capsühl, a brand dedicated to making exquisite lighting accessible to their clients. Now, they are thrilled to present a curated collection of premium designer lights from around the globe through Social Light. Their unwavering commitment to client satisfaction and quality is matched only by their dedication to staying at the forefront of international design trends.
How does Social Light define excellence in the lighting industry, & what steps do you take to ensure this standard is met for every customer?
Business is surprisingly simple at its fundamental level: deliver high-quality products & make the purchasing process straightforward for our customers. That is our philosophy.
We work with some of the finest lighting brands in the world, & we look after our customers by being friendly, honest, and educational. We are committed to upholding our promise & ensuring we always deliver on what we say we will.
What can customers expect when they work with Social Light from the initial consultation to the final installation?
We prioritise a personalised experience for each client. Our goal is to educate & share as much of our expertise as possible, ensuring that each client feels confident in their choices. We are committed to achieving the best possible results.
Furthermore, we work closely with Renee from RAD Lighting Design, who is completely independent, allowing her to specify the best lights for each client, even if that means sourcing from another supplier.
What current trends in lighting do you find most exciting, and how does Social Light stay ahead of these trends?
QUESTIONS - BRENDA DONALDSON ANSWERS - PHIL PATERSON
@sociallightnz | sociallight.co.nz
The most exciting trend is the new generation of LED lights. The reliability, longevity, & light quality of built-in (integrated) LED lights mean that replaceable light bulbs may become a thing of the past.
As homeowners seek niche lighting options, we constantly explore new brands, attend lighting fairs, and monitor overseas trends to offer the best in contemporary lighting design.
How does Social Light approach sustainability in its lighting solutions? Do you offer eco-friendly options?
Lighting is evolving, and with the release of a new generation of LED lights, you can expect them to consume a fraction of the power that was once used by traditional lighting; they also last much longer, creating less waste.
We seek to source from brands that are ethical and sustainable. We are proud to say our LIM lights are manufactured in New Zealand, and our capsühl lights are produced in state-of-the-art factories in China, which we visit regularly.
What are the future goals for Social Light? Are there any upcoming product launches or expansions you can share with us?
Given the strong demand for exceptional lighting throughout New Zealand, we are excited to reveal a new showroom in Auckland and a collaborative space with LMA Timber in Wanaka in the coming months, alongside our working studio here in Cambridge.
Our unique product range is continually evolving, and we are currently planning the introduction of several new brands.
What factors should homeowners consider when choosing lighting options?
One of the most important pieces of advice is to make your lighting decisions early in the building process rather than waiting until the end.
Given the relatively small New Zealand market and the challenges of distance, the selection of readily available lighting options can be limited. While we can source remarkable lights from around the globe, it may require additional time.
Truly exceptional products are often made to order and shipped from distant locations, so planning ahead is essential.
And lastly, what is the best piece of advice for homeowners looking to add flair with their lighting?
Invest time and budget in a professional lighting plan.
Many electricians may not specialise in lighting design, and there are numerous factors to consider, such as placement, style, and the effects of lighting on your space.
With a well-thought-out plan, you can create a stunning symphony of illumination in your home, evoking a range of emotions and enhancing the overall atmosphere.

While the industry may not be bursting with new ideas, it’s a great time to redefine style on your own terms, as Model @lilhamblin does so well!
I recently heard a great tip on a favourite podcast: consider the cost per wear before investing in a pricier piece.
This is especially useful for staple items like neutral tees, jeans, skirts and work shoes. For example, I’ve been eyeing a wardrobe staple priced at $309 NZD. Knowing I’d wear it at least once or twice a week brings the cost down to $5.94 per wear over a year. If it lasts two years, that’s only $2.97 per wear, not a bad deal!
Although the initial cost might be higher, high-quality staples are designed for frequent use and can outlast cheaper alternatives. Quality over quantity is the way to go.
With capsule wardrobes trending, it’s clear that many of us want versatile, timeless pieces that make summer dressing effortless. Yet, I can’t help but feel that the fashion industry isn’t offering as much innovation as it used to.
It’s the perfect time to tap into our own creative juices and incorporate personal style into our wardrobes, especially since the brands aren’t leading the charge in fresh inspiration.
Personally, I think the best option at the moment is to invest in more expensive staples and use cheaper-priced accessories to add our own unique style.
With that in mind, what can we expect to see on the street and in the office?
Although New Zealand might not catch these right away, here’s what’s on the radar:
• Butter yellow: A soft, cheerful yellow that adds a touch of warmth.
• Denim for days: Denim is continuing to make a statement, but it’s nothing new.
• Sheer skirts: Elegant and edgy, though we’ve seen similar styles before.

When it comes to selling a home, first impressions matter significantly. Potential buyers often form their opinions within seconds of entering a property, making home staging an essential component of the selling process. Home staging is a strategic move that involves arranging furniture, decor and enhancing the property's aesthetic appeal to create an inviting atmosphere.
The initial impression a home makes can be the difference between a buyer’s interest and indifference.
When a home is staged well, it looks polished and welcoming, which can captivate potential buyers from the moment they step inside. Clean lines, organised spaces, and tasteful decor can create an inviting environment that speaks volumes about the home’s upkeep and potential. A professionally staged home not only attracts more foot traffic but can also lead to quicker offers.
One of the key aspects of staging is allowing buyers to visualise themselves living in the space. When a home is cluttered or decorated in a very personal style, it can be difficult for potential buyers to see beyond the current owner’s taste.
Staging neutralises the space, presenting it as a blank canvas where buyers can imagine their own lives unfolding. By strategically placing furniture and decor, stagers can create scenarios that resonate with buyers, helping them envision their future in the home.
Every home has unique features that can be highlighted through effective staging.
Whether it’s a beautiful fireplace, spacious kitchen, or stunning views, staging can focus on these specific selling points. This might involve rearranging furniture to create more space, using colour to draw the eye, or adding accessories that complement the home’s architecture.
When the best features are accentuated, buyers are more likely to see the value in the home, which can lead to higher offers.
Staging a home for sale is not just about making it look good; it’s about creating an emotional connection with potential buyers. Staging can significantly impact the selling process by ensuring a great first impression, helping buyers envision their future, and showcasing the best features of the property.

After representing New Zealand in Paris earlier this year, Brenda couldn’t wait to catch up with Anna Taylor to discuss her recent experiences and achievements.
A Paralympian and silver medalist, Anna has pushed boundaries and inspired many through her remarkable journey in para-cycling. From overcoming personal health challenges to competing on the world stage, her story is one of resilience, passion, and triumph.
Brenda discussed Anna’s experiences, achievements, and what fuels her on and off the track!
What challenges did you face, and how did they shape you as an athlete?
My biggest challenges have revolved around my health. At 19, in my first year of university, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Over the next decade, I faced a series of health setbacks, including hip surgery for a torn labrum, a spinal cord injury from acute cauda equina syndrome, and a concussion, all with lasting effects.
These experiences have profoundly shaped who I am as an athlete and person. Facing cancer so young forced me to rethink how I wanted to live. I focused on values like courage, resilience, passion, and community, especially during tough times in my 20s. When I considered quitting university or sport, I’d ask myself: would stepping back actually make things better? The answer was always no. While I took breaks to care for my physical and mental health, I stayed true to the path that called me.
Whether in sports or life, I’ve learned that sticking to my values and passions leads to success. When I couldn’t fully participate in sports, I threw myself into my studies, advocacy, and career, finding fulfilment in those areas, too.
What are some of your proudest achievements in your sport?
My proudest achievement in sport has to be winning the silver medal in the Individual Pursuit at the Paris Paralympic Games!
Knowing that my family and friends were watching and supporting me meant the world, especially when a lifelong dream of mine came true, is an indescribable feeling. After everything, I am most proud that I didn’t give up. I didn’t let the things that happened to me define my capabilities.
How did it feel to represent NZ on an international stage?
Wearing the silver fern at the Paralympic Games is the ultimate dream. Representing New Zealand’s sporting legacy is a special privilege, striving to be your best and hopefully making the country proud. It’s about wearing the fern with pride, inspiring the next generation of athletes to follow in your footsteps.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers about your journey or message you’d like to convey?
My life story may seem like it is about chasing a sporting goal. I understand that it can seem crazy to pursue something after so many setbacks.
For me my story is more about not letting the barriers and disappointments of life stop me from being the best version of myself.
To know that I am capable of so much despite everything that I have been through. I want to show myself and those around me that if you can chase your dreams, then you should do so.
My passion is sports, and I am so grateful for the places it’s taken me, the people I have met, and the experiences I cherish. But there is so much more to my life. That’s why I take every opportunity to give back to sports through my advocacy roles, speaking engagements, and coaching. My friends and family are important to me, as is my community. I want to look back on my life and be proud of who I am.

@conquerthecomeback
The training and build-up into the games, everything went smoothly. I was in the best shape of my life; fit, strong, happy and healthy. It was the best experience to feel the true feeling of a taper.
I didn’t ever want the hard things to define me. While they are a big part of my story, I am grateful that resilience and courage are more defining than the obstacles that temporarily broke me.
