T he Encounter is Almost Here! August 24th-26th Encounters with God matter! They are necessary to build our faith, break shackles, and reignite our passion and hunger for God. Are you battle fatigued? Are there holes in your armor? N eed to be loved on? Refreshed? H ugged? Join us for three days of the M OST POWERFUL, corporate, but intimate fellowship with God! This year, SWATA celebrates 10 years of sisterhood! On July 7th, 250 SWATA sisters dressed in white and gathered at the River Center at Saluda Shoals for a night of fun, food, fellowship, and entertainment. Upon arrival, the women were greeted in the parking lot and escorted on the Red Carpet by our RDCI

M en of Direction (M OD). With Pastor Katie Brave and M in. Belinda Polite co- hosting the event, it was a night to remember. We enjoyed being entertained by Comedian Tim Shropshire and our appetites were satisfied with delicious food prepared by M OD.

YOUR DONATIONS HELP A NEW SWATA SCHOLAR Each year a portion of the sponsorship dollars from SWATA events allow us to be a blessing to a graduating female senior who has demonstrated academic success and volunteer service in the ministry and community. The recipient receives a $500 scholarship to assist with personal and/ or school related expenses. Our 2017 SWATA Scholar is M organ Jackson. A graduate of Blythewood H igh School with a GPA

of 3.36, M organ will be attending the College of Charleston in the Fall. M organ plans to dual major in Theater & in Communications. She aspires to use the talents that God entrusted her to dominate in the entertainment sphere of the Kingdom. SWATA IMPACTS M ore and more, SWATA is impacting the lives of women everywhere! Recently, SWATA has: -

coordinated and provided transportation for five women from a local shelter to attend our 2017 White N ight event. assisted two ladies with their attire for the White N ight event. assisted two ladies from a local shelter via M y Sister?s Closet with their job placement needs.
