SABOR Facebook Lives in September Join us on our Facebook page (@SanAntonioBoardofREALTORS) for three upcoming Facebook Live presentations in September, hosted by SABOR’s CEO Gilbert S. Gonzalez. You’ll have the opportunity to get live answers to all your questions, so don’t miss these great events you can watch wherever you are. On September 9th we will be joined by Carl Carter, Founder and Executive Director of the Beverly Carter Foundation. Carter is the son Beverly Carter whose story may sound familiar to you. While working as a REALTOR® in Arkansas she was kidnapped and ultimately lost her life at the hands of people posing as prospective clients. During this live presentation Carl will share his mother’s story and also discuss REALTOR® safety and the training and tools that REALTORS® can implement in their businesses. Then, on September 17th we’ll have a chat with real estate attorney Trista Curzydlo about what to do (and what not to do) when engaging with clients online. She'll cover ADA compliance for your website, what to know when conducting virtual
showings, and more. Trista is a nationallyrecognized speaker and educator, having worked with REALTOR® associations from around the country to help agents easily understand the rules and regulations that are crucial to their businesses. Curzydlo’s career as an attorney both in the courtroom and the Statehouse provides her with a strong grasp on the “why” behind difficult legal topics while her experience as legal counsel for a REALTOR® association allows her to provide the “how” for risk management in a manner that everyone can grasp and enjoy. Finally, on September 28th Lt. Marcus Booth with the San Antonio Police Department will speak about internet fraud.
