Sincerely,
Ms. June Rickets Editor-In-ChiefDo you remember those days whenever you slouched, your parents would always remind you to sit or stand straight? You may find their advice annoying, but trust me, they just want you to have a better spine. In fact, good posture doesn’t only look better, but it also has lots of benefits.
Sitting or standing with a good posture makes your blood flow improve. It lessens headache and neck pain. Plus, it makes you look good, alert, and desirable to your surroundings.
Take time to do some stretching exercises. Your body would definitely need it as you grow older. So, cut your bad habits of slouching and start practicing a good posture as early as now.
We know that you’re tired from experiencing office work, traffic jams, overtime, and many other stressors. Life is always tiresome for most people, especially when you’ve become an adult who starts to pay your bills. And so you won’t lose yourself, you need to keep your mind and mood at peace. Luckily there are plenty of ways to do that.
Try journaling and write your feelings and your thoughts down. This exercise gives you time to express your frustrations and achievements while keeping track of your life. Next, play with your pets at home if you have one. They are good company and can add peace and happiness to your life.
And lastly, don’t pressure yourself in your relationships and with your work. For our final thoughts, just be gentle with yourself and slow down. Keep yourself from any negative thoughts all the time and indulge in your cravings sometimes, too.
Don’t you just love listening to music whenever you’re on the road when cleaning, exercising, or studying? Wherever you go, you can hear it from your radio, in malls, cafes, and even on your phones. For many years, music is known to influence our mood, giving us feelings of happiness, sadness, excitement, and many more.
But did you know that music has this soothing sensation that calms us whenever we feel stressed, anxious, or bored? Yes, it also serves as therapy for our minds. How? It allows stimulation inside our brain to increase concentration, which results in a more productive day.
Depending on your favorite genre, music will make you feel relaxed and less lonely than you usually are. It opens a different world only you can experience. Plus, it also gives us health benefits. So, close your eyes and give in to music therapy as it caresses your ears, mind, and soul with its soothing melody.
When was the last time you pampered yourself with beautiful clothes, delicious food trips? And of course guilt-free shopping! It may sound absurd, especially when you have to work yourselves 24/7 just to pay your rent or to watch over your child. But, at what cost? You’ll be missing out on a huge chunk of your life.
Think about it. Sometimes, you need to spend a little time for yourself, away from work, problems, and distractions, to wind and recharge emotionally and psychologically. Your me time will surely help you understand what you’re feeling and what you truly want.
How do you wish to spend your me time? After all, it varies from person to person. Some may prefer to read an interesting book, listen to music, watch a good movie, or eat delicious food, while some prefer to spend their time with their friends. So, what’s holding you back? Don’t be too hard on yourself. Surely, it won’t hurt to schedule yourself a peaceful time to recharge your body and thoughts.
