Things to do in and around Weyburn this winter

hile our winters are long, they don’t have to be boring. There is plenty to see and do in Weyburn and the southeast all season long. You can support local artisans and craftspeople at the Gifted Art Market on November 12. Hosted by the Weyburn Arts Council, this event

features handmade arts and crafts that are perfect for giving (or keeping for yourself – we won’t tell). The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce kicks off the holiday season with the Parade of Lights on December 1. The annual event is one for the whole family, with festive floats making their way through downtown, and spreading plenty of cheer.

River Park Sparkles will start lighting up the night on December 7 through January 8. Pack up the gang and take the tour at River Park Campground nightly from 5.30 to 8.30 pm. The annual Skate with Santa event returns to Tom Zandee Sports Arena on December 12. Let the kids skate alongside the big guy and get some exercise too. Plus, there is always
