WELCOME BACK Thanksgiving has happened and I guess you are probably very full from the feast. To get through that food baby and coma, the R5 Family Magazine is an issue full of interactive articles about the holiday, an R5 Experience story written by Jennifer and much more! Ph oen ix Tour Ph oto Essay W ritten By: Elise Recently, Olivia Holt, Ryland, Isac Elliot and Forever in Your Mind went on tour together all around the U.S. They played shows in parts of Florida, New York and New Jersey just to name a few. Olivia Holt debuted her first EP called, "Phoenix" on tour while Ryland pumped up the crowd with original mixes. Isac Elliot and Forever In Your Mind also played their original songs along with some covers to let the fans experience their music as well.

Riker's New Movie: Voyeur

Riker has been very busy recently with movies including is movie called "Voyeur " or "Bryan" which ever name you want to call it. The indie movie is about a group of friends who are on their way to Coachella and they seem to run into multiple scary obstacles on the way there. Riker is playing a guy named Danny who seems to be a part of the group traveling to Coachella. His character might actually have a love interest in the film and a possible fight scene?! We are very excited for the movie to come out on DVD, online and hopefully in the theaters one day.

JENNIFER'S R5 EXPERIENCE By: Jen n if er Okay so first of all I remember this concert quite clearly, although it was a little over a year ago. This concert was in Milwaukee, WI and it was a ways away from where I live so it took a while to drive there, and I was obviously there with my mom and little sister. We got lost with tons of construction and everything! It wasn?t good, but we finally got to our hotel which was a fancy Double Tree hotel in Downtown Milwaukee. It had a parking area and we drove up to it, and there was a big blue bus in front of the hotel and my sister asked ?Is that their tour bus?? meaning R5, then I said ?No it can?t be.? As my mom was talking to the valet that was going to park our car once we got our stuff, I turned around and I just about jumped out of my skin. Rocky poked his head out of the bus that my sister asked about. I also saw Rydel and Ellington out there playing around with a shirt, and I think I saw Riker too. I also saw Stormie. I was so excited I told my sister, and she didn?t believe me until she turned around and saw for herself. I sadly never saw Ross though, but they kept going in and out of the hotel and I was just thinking hurry up so we can go meet them possibly, but it was too late. As I got out my car, R5 (without Ross) got into a black car, and I swear Rydel looked out the window at me and pointed at me, because I was holding her magazine that had recently been
released. And they drove away. (The rest of the day in town I was looking for that car again). Then when we walked into the hotel lobby to check in I?m pretty sure Mark was there in the lobby with suitcases and then he walked out again and disappeared (I?m not sure about this part I can?t remember) and as my mom was checking us in I was trying to tell her what just happened because she was oblivious to the whole thing and then she was getting excited. We then went up to our room and were super excited that R5 was staying in the same hotel as us! Later on, we walked downtown on the sidewalks of Downtown Milwaukee trying to find somewhere to eat for dinner, and we found this cool downtown 3 story mall. We were about to go in, but my mom stopped to talk to some Police Officers and ask some question (I honestly don?t know what) and I just about jumped out of my skin again! Riker and Savannah [Latimer, his girlfriend] walked out of the mall entrance and walked away down the sidewalk. My mom was then done talking to the officer, and I pointed to her that they were walking down the street and I wanted to go catch up to them (I think) but they were going too fast and we were hungry. We went into the mall and there were restaurants, stores, and escalators, everywhere! The place was white, pink, blue, green, and it was super colorful! We went up an escalator and looked down over a lookout to the first floor and I saw Rocky walking around with two random guys (idk who they were) and walk into a store! I was getting excited, because maybe the rest of
them were around somewhere! We went to go eat, and I ordered from a pizza place and my sister and mom ordered from Panda Express. We then went back to the first floor and my sister thought she saw Rydel and Stormie in a store, but when we went in they weren?t there. We then started to go back to our hotel and just hang out. I checked up on their Instagram to see if they had posted anything, and Riker had posted he was in his hotel room with Vanni watching a movie, and the room had the same layout as ours so it was definitely the same hotel. (Now I can?t remember when these posts were if they were this time or not) Rydel posted a picture in front of a statue that was in front of a big blue building we used as a landmark not to get lost around town. Later on we then went to the lobby of our hotel to go buy a snack. (They had a little snack area with medicine, drinks, and other traveling essentials) When we left the snack room, I was freaking out in my head! Riker was sitting right there in the lobby on a chair with Vanni tying his shoe and then he got up and left with her. We were so bewildered and I highly regret not going up to him and saying hi. We went back to our room and stayed there for a second and went back downstairs and literally sat in the lobby waiting for one of them to possibly come by (I know a bit creepy, but we were excited at the moment). They never came, so we just gave up and went to our room for bed. All photos from r5rocks.com and Jennifer.
The next day it was time to get ready to go to Rydel?s Magazine signing! Once we were ready, their tour bus actually left right in front of us and we basically followed it the whole way there. Once we got to Barnes and Noble (where the signing was) workers welcomed us and told us what to do. We had gotten there early so we basically sat around looking at books for a few hours before Rydel was ready to come out. Once she was everyone was excited, and they started calling us up to get in line. I stood in line for what felt like forever and once I could see her (she was with Mark, her dad) I was super stoked! Once it was my turn I walked up with my sister and I was super shy. She signed my magazine and said hi. At that age I didn?t have a phone only a tablet so I recorded a few seconds of the thing and she slightly waved at the camera. Mark then took a picture of us and my sister gave her a drawing she made for her and Rydel complemented my shirt (that I hand decorated with paint with the R5 logo on it) and we were whisked out of there for the next person to meet her. I wish it hadn?t gone so quick, but I was thankful I got to meet her. After everyone was done we took a group picture and drove back to the hotel. After a while we got ready to go down to the venue that the concert was at (it was the Riverside Theater). We only had a sound check package so we got into the short line (which was for the sound check), and it was super-hot outside and we were sweating our skin off it felt like, and we were in line forever, but there were some super nice people in front of us that helped pass the time by talking to
us. First the meet and greet people got to go in then we did, and we walked past the meet and greet area and I saw the whole band through a crack, and some girl in front of me screamed ?I see Ross, I see Ross!!!? so obviously I?m guessing he was her favorite. We then went inside the auditorium area and found a random seat for sound check. It started and they were all just talking to us and having a good time then they sang ?I can?t say I?m in love? and then it was over. I was sad it was so short, but we then, got our free merch bag that came with our sound check package, left and went back to our hotel to go eat then we made our way back to the venue and, went to the merch table and bought some R5 gold pick necklaces, and found our seats for the concert. First, Ryland did his DJ show (idk what it?s called) and it was super fun and there was so much high energy! Then some guy named Jacob Whitesides performed and, then it was time for R5 to come out! I got a really good video of them coming out and it was awesome! There was the loudest screaming I?ve ever heard! They started with singing ?All Night? and they went on doing the concert with songs, and being their crazy wacky selves on stage. I also saw Stormie, Lori, Vanni, and another girl up in a little private balcony. During, ?Things are looking up? giant beach balls went around the crowd and the whole concert was just super amazing! When, Rydel sang her song ?Lightning Strikes? she killed it (that?s a good thing)! When it was over Ross thanked us all for coming and then they threw out signed guitar picks and other merch. (I didn?t get any) Riker even rubbed a shirt all over his stomach and threw it out, and girls were almost ripping out each other?s hair to get it. After that we left the venue and it was about midnight. The streets were flooded with people from the concert going back to their hotels. Once we got back we went right to bed. The next morning we went to breakfast and R5?s tour bus was gone. We packed up our stuff and drove home. All in all it was a great experience and it couldn?t have been better! I can?t wait to go again!
