Hot Spring Break Vacation Spots! Thinking of somewhere to splurge and go on a spring break getaway? I have just the spots for you to consider, plus some possible cheap and local ideas as well, in case you're unable to travel.

By Jennifer What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Is that the old saying? Any-who, Las Vegas, Nevada seems to be a pretty popular spot for spring break, and I hear that it's a super fun place to go. Whether you want to hit up all of the landmark replicas, or go partying, there's something for almost everyone in Vegas! Photo via CNN.com

Daytona Beach, Florida is a super popular beach, not only because of its beautiful waters, but also because of its location in a subtropical climate. If you're looking to go somewhere tropical, but not too over the top, this might be the place to head to! Photo via TimeOut.com

Paris, France seems like a place that everyone wants to go to. Whether it's for the romantic atmosphere, the food, or the Eiffel Tower, there's plenty to see and do in Paris if the trip is affordable for you! This could be the trip of a lifetime! R5 even performed here back in 2017! Photo via SortiraParis.com

If traveling isn't an option for you, or if you don't live near the areas I mentioned, going on drive for a day could be a fun option as well! Just start at your home and drive somewhere new, with no specific destination and see where you end up! Just make sure to bring a map or GPS in case you get lost! Photo via Jurist.org

Here's another idea if you're unable to travel far: Walk, bike, or drive to some place in your local town or city that you've never been to before. You might find a new favorite family owned store, or a beautiful new park you never knew you had; and if you feel like you know your whole town already, push the boundaries and go a little bit further each day! The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Review: Episode 1 By Leanne

The first episode of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is a typical first episode of any tv series. In this one-hour episode titled Chapter One: October Country, we meet most of the characters and learn the dilemma that faces Sabrina. There are some touches from the original series, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, sprinkled in, which is quite cool.

Though the world of Sabrina has a considerable amount of differences from the one that you and I live in, there are some everyday factors that are recognized in the series too. Things such as bullies, goodbyes to old friends and past places, and run-ins with mean teachers make Sabrina more of a relatable girl.

There are a few confusing factors in the first episode of this series. The mix of the mortal and immortal lives of Sabrina and different omens can make the story blurred at some points but this all could be cleared up later on in the series. One thing that I have a few questions about is Sabrina’s Dark Baptism and the issues encountered with it.

This series is already shaping up to be quite the change from Ross’s Austin and Ally days. Aside from the upside down cross and pentagram in the logo, there are supernatural creatures, scary stories from the history of the town of Greendale (where Sabrina and her friends and family live) and frightening images.

Overall, I give the first episode of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina a rating of 8/10. I do really love the show, it’s a great twist on the issues today’s teenagers face and it shows how far Ross has come as an actor. The work from Kiernan Shipka (Sabrina) is great and the show definitely catches the viewer’s attention. The only reason I didn’t give the show a perfect rating is because there are still a lot of questions that aren’t yet answered, but that may just be for the purpose of keeping the viewers coming back for more episodes. The second season of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is set to release on April 5th of this year.

The Driver Era - Feel You Now Song Review By Jennifer

Ross and Rocky have very recently released a new song of theirs, called Feel You Now. It delivers a very retro theme, with the lyric video featuring many retro or aesthetic clips and photos. It seems that they were going for an 80s or 90s style song, and you can definitely tell by the sound of the song itself, and the look of the lyric video.

I personally think that it has a very different feel than their previous songs (Low, Afterglow, and Preacher Man), and that's good! I'm aboard for them to try different styles and find a sound. To be honest I wasn't sure if the song would be my favorite when I heard the first few seconds, but I really ended up liking it once I heard the chorus.

The song seems to be a love song about getting closer and trying to love someone. Overall, I enjoyed the song quite a bit, but I don't think it's my favorite one that the band has released so far. I think that I'd give it a 4 out of 5 star rating, but me know what you guys think of it, and tweet us on Twitter @r5familymag! The song is available to listen to on apps like Spotify and YouTube, and is available to buy for $1.29 on apps like iTunes and the Google Play Store.

My Rating for Feel You Now: 4 out of 5 Stars.

Spring Cleaning Hacks

By: Geca

As a relatable teenager, I have a really hard time keeping my room neat… and an even harder time when it comes time to actually clean it, so I’ve put together a list of a few hacks I’ve used over the past few years that can make tiding up a bit easier. 1) The Path of the Piles This hack is more for those people that just can’t keep things picked up off their floor. First, start with the surfaces. Start by throwing everything that doesn’t belong, on the floor. Once everything out of place is on the floor, split everything into piles. Personally, I like to use a broom for this part. If you’re having a really lazy day, maybe make the piles smaller. If it’s one of those “I’m really in the mood to clean days", maybe make fewer, bigger piles. Then, you dig in. If you’re having a hard time staying motivated, give yourself a reward for every pile you finish.

2) The Color Game I play this a lot with my younger sisters since it's pretty simple and quite fun. You'll need a basket for each person playing. Stand at the door of your room and each of you (or just you) choose a color. Start with more popular colors, leaving more specific ones for last. Then, if you're playing solo, set a time limit and try to fill your basket with things of that color before the time runs out. If you're playing with a friend, maybe try racing each other to see who can fill their basket first. Find a clean space, like your bed, and divide the things into piles, folding the clothes and separating the things that don't belong in your room. Finish up by putting away the piles, and choosing a new color. 3) Indulge yourself There's a reason our parents wouldn't let us go play until our room was clean... We work better, and a lot harder when we have a goal and a prize in mind. Set yourself a time limit, and reward yourself when you finish on time.

Driver Era Fan Covers

By Leanne

Flatirons Community church - Preacher Man

The members of this community church did a great job with their own take on the song’s message for their congregation. Their voices fit the song perfectly and their very talented band tackled the song in an amazing way. The video makes the viewer very excited for the song as it is set in front of a large crowd that seems to be very captivated by the music. Overall, this cover is very well done and shows that a song, if well done, can have many different meanings and can be used in many different settings.

Mikaela Vaughan - Afterglow

The stripped down cover of this song is a nice twist of the original song. Instead of an array of instruments and faster lyrics, Mikaela takes her own take with only her guitar and nice, calm vocals. This cover, though short, captures the song in an interesting way that any Driver Era fan would love.

Julia Jane - Preacher Man

This short ukulele cover of Preacher Man shows fans what the song sounds like with female vocals, and it is a nice and interesting twist! Julia made the cover super simple with only ukulele melodies and short, articulate vocals. Nicely done! **You can check out all of these covers at the links on our Twitter!

Rydel's Clothing Line Review By: Geca Rydel always comes out with the cutest new pieces. She has everything from jackets to clutches to socks. Here are a few of my favorites: - She Likes To Dance Choker Made of intricate, stretchy lace, this choker would go with pretty much anything. - Rocker Clutch This clutch is full of good vibes, from the silver studs to the chain strap. Perfect for your edgier rocker girl outfit.

- Friends Make Secrets First of all, we can all agree Rydel comes up with the coolest names for her clothing items. This long sleeved pink shirt comes with an adorable couple, sharing a secret, detailing on the bottom left corner. -New Ride Jacket I'm in love with this jacket. The simple color blocking makes it the perfect balance between classy and chic. - TDE Bomber Jacket Of course, we had to include this one. With the exciting news of The Driver Era tour coming up, we're all desperate for this jacket. A simple black bomber jacket with the coolest orange lining, and the Driver Era hourglass on the left chest, complete with The Driver Era written on the back.
