“The mayoral committee will be reviewed but surely the mayor (Lindiwe Gunuza) and speaker (Mzoxolo Peter) of Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality will be removed. The two are not prepared to work together and

On Thursday, February 8, there will be a street party outside the newspaper’s offices in Robinson Road from 9am to 11am. Vukani FM, whose Komani studio is also in the Queenstown Express offices, will be providing entertainment for the party. There will also be cake handed out as part of the festivities. Express staff will also be involved in a CSI outreach initiative, as a way of giving back to the community whose wonderful support over the past two years has resulted in the newspaper’s successes in this time. “EP Media brought a brand-new local newspaper for the first time to Komani two years ago, and since the first edition, the Queenstown Express has only grown from strength to strength. “We have the community of Komani, who have welcomed us with open arms and have supported us in the two years, to thank for this,” says Bettie Giliomee, EP Media regional editor. Queenstown Express is distributed free of charge to 20 000 homes in Komani every Thursday.
