Hi there…
Isn’t autumn on the Bellarine a truly special time of the year? The summer crowds have eased, the air is crisp but not cold and the colours of the landscape take on a certain hue. For golfers it is arguably the best season to play. The milder temperatures mean you can enjoy a full round without the fatigue of summer’s heat, the course is in pristine condition and there’s nothing quite like enjoying a glass of your select beverage on the deck of the club

The battle with the encroachment of Couch and Kikuyu in our greens continues.
With 5 more greens ticked off our list. Couch and Kikuyu is not the desired species of grass we want on our putting surfaces. As golfers, you would have seen the results we are getting on greens such as 5, 6 and 7 Most greens have some encroachment issues with some areas more than others This process will take time but we are being proactive this autumn to get the right results in the future For now, some greens may look unappealing after these areas have been sprayed but it will be worth it in the end
Now that we are starting to get to quieter times on the golf course, we are back taking on the job of completing the paths with crushed gravel. This is a priority job to beautify our course and make it more desirable to drive on the made paths from green to the next tee. Apologies to anyone if incomplete paths or pickles of gravel have caused anyone grief It’s a long and slow process with the tractor and trailer from the

Course Improvements & Safety Enhancement
Courseimprovementstakemanyfactorsintoaccount, withyoursafety beingatoppriority.UndertheCommittee’sdirection, thecoursecrew has installed tussock grasses along the edges of the bunkers on the 12thand13thholes.
Recent news reports have highlighted incidents of motorised buggies rollingintodeepbunkers, resultinginseriousinjuries Asshowninthe images above, these bunkers pose a similar risk when buggies are driventooclosetotheedge.
The tussocks serve to guide traffic toward safer pathways, helping to protectbothyouandthecoursefrompotentialharm
