The Wednesday Stableford competition was embraced by 116 players and what a lot happened! Not only did Russell Aldrich (25) have a great win with 43, Len Aylward had an eagle on the 1st AND we had winner for the Solar system when David Thomson had a hole-in-one on the 3rd. Our ladies enjoyed playing in some milder weather on Thursday. Congratulations to Chris McManus (32), who scored a competitive 38. However, after putting into practice my lesson from the crew at The Golf Lab, I managed a score of 40 to take the win.
Our Junior Golf Clinic was a Swinging Success! The 3-day event, designed to nurture talent and build confidence, was met with enthusiasm by the 12 participants.
The clinic featured a structured program led by a team of experienced golf professionals. Over the first 2 days, juniors were introduced to essential skills, from grip and stance to driving, chipping, and putting. The final day was held at The Golf Lab in Ocean Grove. This was fabulous, fun interactive experience for the kids using golf simulators.
I really enjoyed helping out with this clinic and I look forward to seeing these budding golfers developing their skills - so, keep practicing, and I’ll see you on the course!

It has been a while since the bell was last rung, and what better way to celebrate than with a hole-in-one at the 3rd hole, where the title comes with a fantastic prize of solar panels from our club sponsor, “Sunny Solar ” Director, Rick Bell, was very excited to learn of David’s success and can’t wait to officially present David with his prize!
David’s coup has even inspired this week’s celebrity visitor, Jeremy Cameron, who has promised to return with some mates to attempt his very own ace in the hole!
