In the spirit oftradition Queen's College upheld its excellence in academics as revealed by the school's performance at both the Caribbean Examination Council (C.X.C) and the General ·certificate of Education (G.C.E) Examinations. Molalani Chatterdeo, secured nine (9) grade ones and one grade two and was awarded 'The Best C.X.C student in Guyana.' Aruni Singh also gained nine (9) grade ones.

Joseph Dookhan who gained eight (8) grade ones while Anessa Mandol, Crystal Beepat, Shawn Gurcharr:m, Aisha De Abreu, Julian Chin, Senctta Bancraft and Tariq Sattaur secured seven (7) grade ones. Similarly at the G.C.E Examination excellent performers were Nirala Jagnarine (2A's, 2B's), Kelvin Clarke (A, 2B's), Farayal Bisheswat (A, 2B's), John Persaud (A,B,C) and Mark Boodhoo (3B's, D). Other notable results were found in students like Parveen Hanoman, Natasha Francois and Delisa Mc Ewan.

Faye Allicock copped the top spot at the G.C.E. Advanced Level examination achieving 4A's (Physics, Chemistry, Pure and Applied Mathematics) with Ammar Birbal close behind with 3A's (Physics, Applied and Pure Maths) and a 'B' in Chemistry.

Not only were these students high achievers but Queen's College generally performed well. There were I 00% pass1es in Food and Nutrition, Mechanical Engineering and Social Studies.

If I were to resist the exams, I think I'd probably be able to do better, especially in Biology. 10. What was your initial reaction on hearing/ seeing your results? My initial reaction on hearing the news of my success was one of joy and disappointment. I was happy to be among the top students and to have gained 9 ones but I was very disappoin.ted about the twO in Biology.

11. What was your parents' reaction on hearing/ seeing your results? My father was in tears and my mother couldn't stop smiling whilst my two brothers flipped.

12. Is there any particular teacher or person you'd like to credityourresults to? Yes, I'd like to thank Miss Rohlehr, Dr. Wtlliams. Miss Jordan, Mrs. Kissoon, Mrs. Duncan, Mrs. Pyle, Mrs. Heywood, Mrs. Zahora Mohammed, Mrs. Th.ierens all my friends especially the members of our study group and most of all my family and God.
