Kings of the Hill . . . The PV varsity football team beat Redondo last week to win its 5th consecutive Bay League championship.
• The Palos Verdes High football team won its 27th Bay League game, while Peninsula High defeated Inglewood to highlight its Homecoming game. The PV Grizzlies won a Pop Warner championship, the Ridgecrest flag football is King of the Hill and Peninsula soccer kids are getting set for the playoffs. But the talk around the Hill is the future of Peninsula High football and whether the PV/ PEN rivalry game will ever be played again.
Panthers Out In Force . . . The Peninsula High grandstands were full with cheering fans from one end to the other as Peninsula celebrated its Homecoming with a big victory over Inglewood High.
