Winter Sports Season Ends For Middle Schools

• Peninsula middle schools competing in basketball and soccer in the South Bay League will now switch over to spring sports.

By Frankie Reid PVIS finished the boys’ soccer season as King of the Hill Champions with a 2-0 win over Miraleste and a 1-1 tie with Ridgecrest. Shawn Razipour led the Sea Kings defense, and Derek Roah proved to be a strong sub throughout the season. The Sea King forwards were led by Dominic Firmani. Against Ridgecrest the match started slowly with the score 0-0 at halftime. PVIS took a 1-0 lead after about 15 minutes into the second half with a wicked shot from Shane Rodriguez sent the ball into the back of the net.
