• Peninsula and Palos Verdes high schools clash in winter sports action. High school and middle school basketball and soccer teams are playing Hill rivals this week before beginning playoff action. The PVP girls’ softball league and PVP Pony League begin their spring seasons this weekend. The Palos Verdes Basketball Association continues play with playoff action on the horizon as everyone continues to get in shape for the upcoming spring sports season.
