11 3 2 5 Wash the wound with copious amounts of water and soap for 15 minutes

11.3.2.6 Do not use any neutralizing chemicals on the spill.

11.3.2.7 Once medical attention arrives, inform them on the amount and type of potentially infectious material the employee was exposed to.

11.3.3 Eye Exposure Incident:

11.3.3.1 Alert surrounding employees to call 911.

11.3.3.2 Personnel who are trained in Bloodborne Pathogens are to assist injured employee.

11.3.3.3 Remove all contaminated clothing.

11.3.3.4 Remove any jewelry or obstructive material.

11.3.3.5 Remove contact lenses if applicable.

11.3.3.6 Wash eyes with copious amounts of water under the eyewash station for 15 minutes.

11.3.3.7 Do not use any eye drops.

11.3.3.8 Ensure to hold both eyelids open while washing.

11.3.3.9 Once medical attention arrives, inform them on the amount and type of potentially infectious material the employee was exposed to.

11.3.4 Inhalation Incident:

11 3 4 1 Personnel who are trained in Bloodborne Pathogens are to assist injured employee 11 3 4 2 Remove any clothing that obstructs breathing

11 3 4 3 Take the employee to a clean area with fresh air

11 3 4 4 Promptly get medical attention

11 3 4 5 Once medical attention arrives, inform them on the amount and type of potentially infectious material the employee was exposed to

11 3 5 Ingestion Incident:

11.3.5.1 Alert surrounding employees to call 911.

11.3.5.2 Personnel who are trained in Bloodborne Pathogens are to assist injured employee.

11.3.5.3 Bring employee to a more comfortable area and position, try to comfort employee to prevent shock.

11.3.5.4 Cover employee with blanket or other covering to prevent shock.

11.3.5.5 Once medical attention arrives, inform them on the amount and type of potentially infectious material the employee was exposed to.
