Puddle Theatre company formed in Manchester in 2022 by Lucy Wrigley and Oleta Wright. The Company ethos is to create new, original work with up and coming artists from all different theatrical disciplines. They have had successful runs at Greater Manchester Fringe Festival 2023 and Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2024 but this year have produced closer to home with ‘Reflection’ opening at 53two.

OLETA WRIGHT OLETA WRIGHT
I began writing ‘Reflection’ on a typical day that I felt down for no reason. Each time I came to write I would jot down my thoughts for that day. Before I had thought of the title, the script started out as my own reflection. Since then, my bad days have been much less frequent and I have this play to thank for that.
I hope that when watching this play people feel inspired to reflect on what makes their bad days bad. It is just as important to know what brings you sadness as it is to know what makes you uncontrollably happy. And for me, I have my supportive family and friends to thank for making me smile - even on the bad days. If you relate to anything in Annie’s reflection, know that you’re not alone.
