A bit about Puddle...

Puddle Theatre Company was co-founded by Lucy Wrigley and Oleta Wright. Both with First Class Honours in Theatre and Performance Practice, as well as our experience in acting, directing, writing, and producing, we believe we have created a company that can support artists in all aspects. We have the intention of giving prospective creatives the opportunity to broadcast their talents and skills.

Puddle strives to produce original work, and, after a sell-out performance at the 2023 Greater Manchester Fringe Festival, we are eager to continue our momentum and create new pieces of work that we are passionate about.

A Splash

of Comedy Charlotte Cropper Stand-up comedian and MC

Charlotte Cropper is a comedian, writer, presenter, and host for our show!

Her anecdotal and conversational comedy style, laced with wit and whimsy, makes her a “viscerally relatable” (The Meteor) new voice on the Uk comedy scene. She is a Supported Artist at the New Adelphi Theatre, a Shortlisted Future Presenter in The Edinburgh TV Festival’s New Voice Awards 2022, a 2021 Chortle Student Comedy Award Finalist, and an alumnus of the University of Salford’s Edinburgh Stand-Up Showcase SalFUNNI.

Matthew Hines Actor in comedic monologue Matthew is a third year Theatre and Performance Practice student at Salford. Recent acting credits include: The Addams Family (Almost Famous, 2022), The Wolf, The Witch and The Porridge Pot (New Adelphi Theatre, 2022), and Krogstad in Henrik Ibsen’s A Doll’s House (Almost Famous, 2023).

He is also starring in an upcoming production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream in the New Adelphi Theatre as Puck and Theseus, as well as performing his final year theatre project Black Coffee and Cigarettes.

Amelia Slater Actor in comedic monologue Amelia is a Manchester based actor and writer. She has trained at ActUpNorth, The Actors Lab, Act4TV and, most recently, with Inspire Actors.

In 2021 she completed the epic stages course at the National Youth Theatre and in 2022 won the Act4TV Christmas monologue competition. Tonight, she is performing a self-written monologue, from her onewoman show.

LITBM Theatre Company Actors in comedy sketches LITBM is a new, upcoming comedic theatre company; led by friends who love to create and mess about onstage.

Showcasing exciting sketches, songs and plays; we aim to create a space of inclusivity and escapism while including our audience in the chaos. After all, Laughter Is The Best Medicine...

Jacob Cook Creative in LITBM Theatre Company Jacob is from Manchester and graduated from University Campus Oldham with a performance degree and teaching degree. He currently is splitting his work between freelance acting and teaching. As well as this, he is an aspiring playwright.

Within LITBM Theatre Company Jacob is in charge of admin and a co-writer.

Curtis Dipple Creative in LITBM Theatre Company “Hey, I’m Curtis. I like long walks on the beach and the taste of sand. I’m a writer/actor and graduated from the University of Salford with a degree in Media and Performance. I’m just looking for a little thing called love on this spinning block that we have dubbed Earth as it hurtles through the universe at speeds beyond our comprehension.

Can I get an amen? My favourite Starburst is the red one. But, enough about me, tell me about yourself.”

Madison Freeman Creative in LITBM Theatre Company Madison is from Rochdale and graduated University Campus Oldham with a first degree in Theatre and Performance. She has acquired many skills through her training and is now making her way into the industry as an actor, director and aspiring sketch writer.

Within LITBM Theatre Company she is in charge of admin and a co-writer.

Tommy Lowe Creative in LITBM Theatre Company Tommy is originally from London but is now based in Manchester. He graduated from the University of Salford with a first degree in Theatre and Performance Practice. Tommy is an aspiring voice actor and playwright. Taking inspiration from the dry humour of stand-up comedian, Noel Miller, Tommy enjoys using LITBM as a creative outlet to co-write sketches.

Katie Richardson Actor in comedic monologue “Hi I’m Katie. I have a tragic life full of pickles, sticky situations and very poor organisation. But maybe all the best people do? And from this mess, comes a lot of content to write about, so maybe it’s actually a good thing? I am a gal who flipping loves creating; from painting ducks and dogs on cardboard pizza boxes, to crocheting until my fingers cramp and seize up...I love it all! I am currently studying BA Acting at Manchester School of Theatre and this is my first performance of my own writing outside of drama school so wish me luck. Just hope I maybe make you chuckle and that.”

Mary Mahoney Stand-up comedian Mary, originally from Bradford, is a University of Salford alumni, with a degree in Theatre and Performance Practice.

She has appeared on Channel4's Ackley Bridge and has a passion for makeup/SFX makeup. Whilst at university, she specialised her modules towards stand-up comedy. All her work is written by herself and is drawn from her own experiences.

Magic Alan Comedic magician

Magic Alan is a character created and performed by Dan Conaghan. He is an aspiring comedy writer, originally from Teesside but now based in Manchester. Dan performs solo, as well as in the band ‘Jimmy Strawberry and the Fruit Bowl’. For three years he studied Comedy at University of Salford, and takes inspiration from Harry Hill and, Vic and Bob.
