This will be my last message for my time as President of Peach Tree Golf and Country Club I have reached the end of my third year as President and ninth year on the board I am ready to spend more time at the Club playing golf rather than going to meetings
First things first. Please take the time to fix divots, repair ball marks on greens, and rake the sand trap after you hit out It makes it better for everyone Plus, it helps Tracy and his crew to keep our course at a high standard of play for each of us I just needed to say that one more time!
I am not going to go on and on about what was good and how much we accomplished during my three terms I will let others be the judge of the effectiveness of my time helping with leading the club There were significant issues to overcome such as COVID and exciting and beneficial challenges such as the City Club Overall, we increased the membership and gave people a Club they can be proud of and a wonderful place to enjoy time with friends
The reason for our success is due to the many people who devote themselves to the betterment of the Club First, the Board of Directors I had the privilege of working with men and women who put the entire membership first in every decision we had to make Their input, along with the committees they chaired gave us great direction Each committee member is to be commended for their dedication I am so impressed with how much they care about the Club, the members and those who are employed by the club to enhance our experience
There are so many who give of themselves each day to make the Club the best it can be The efforts of our leadership team and all the people working in their groups are the reason we have the best value of a Club in Northern California I am very grateful for their efforts I want to make sure each one of our outstanding team members know how much I appreciate their efforts and the results that are produced by them Thank you
Finally, thank you to our membership Whether you are a long-term member or have just become a member, we have been in this together This is our Club We share a responsibility to nurture and preserve it to the best of our abilities. I encourage you to become involved with the behind-the-scenes committees and helping the Club to get better Anyone who is a proprietary member can be a part of leadership Yes, it takes time and commitment, but it is a journey worth taking

Favorite hole?
7. It's always a challenge for me. I want to get to where I can play the hole without getting wet. The reality is that each hole at Peach Tree is unique and has great features that would make them anybody's favorite.

Favorite tree?
The cedar on the left side of hole 10 just past the forward tee has become my favorite. Not in a positive way. For some reason I have become very good at nailing that tree on my drives. It is as if there is a force that reaches out and draws my ball to that tree. It is a great looking tree and frames the hole very well. However, I am not thrilled with having it as my "favorite tree."

Best round?
My best round was an 81. Probably why I am a 15 handicap.

Any hole-in-ones?
Never had a hole-in-one other than at miniature golf courses.

Favorite Peach Tree foursome?
I enjoy playing with other golfers as the opportunity presents itself. No favorites. My ideal foursome would be a day with my son Matthew, my daughter Alisha and her spouse Ryan. At some point, I would like to have a foursome with my grandchildren. By the way, my wife does not play golf. That is why she is not on the list.

Best golf advice?
Enjoy the game and the time on the course. Where else would you rather be?
What brings me back? The challenge, the desire to improve, and the opportunity to be with the people at the club. Also, there is always one hole or one shot where you think you know what you are doing so you try to repeat it.

As the grass starts to grow in around the property we would like to remind the membership of the cart rules as found in the Memberships Rules and Policies book
Riding carts are not permitted on the greens, the tee boxes, or the banks of a green except that riding carts bearing a handicap flag (or other specifically approved ADA compliant riding vehicles approved in advance by the Club Board of Directors) may park on the banks of the green no closer than 10 yards from the green and drive to and park at the front of the green complex no closer than 10 yards from the green
There are more and more members parking their carts on the banks of the greens and in the approach Please keep your carts on the cart path around all greens, and Cart Path Only on all par 3 holes.
USGA/PGA found that on average a player will make eight pitch marks during a round of golf If 130 rounds of golf are played in a day, that’s over 1000 pitch marks, 30,000 pitch marks per month, 300,000 pitch marks per year Golf is already hard, with a little bit of TLC to the course we can make putting a little easier for everyone!

With our bermudagrass fairways, we ask that you DO NOT replace the grass removed but instead utilize a sand bottle and fill the divot with straight sand The bermudagrass is typically growing so quickly during the summer that it will repair itself very rapidly We ask for the sand as a courtesy to level the ‘hole’ as well as give the new stolons and leaf blades something to grasp in their quest to grow and fill in the divot

Most junior programs are incomplete. That is why the Peach Tree Junior Academyuses the Operation 36 Development Model which centers around playing golf. The goal is to help your junior shoot par (36) or better for 9 holes.
STEP ONE:Learn Skills in Fun Classes
We make learning the game feel like a game! Your junior will make friends and learn skills in fun engaging classes.
Coaches will provide your junior with a 9 hole playing experience with the Op 36 Model.
STEP THREE: Train & Track Progress
The Op 36 Mobile App is your families guide to practicing and playing golf outside of classes.
At Peach Tree Golf & Country Clubwe believe that every golf program should be
centered around playing golf and making it fun to track progress over time. This is why our facility is excited to be a licensed Operation 36®facility. We leverage the Op 36 Development Model (see below) and technology to make it fun for our golfers to improve their skills.
Instead of starting at the full tee box, all golfers begin in Division 1 and will play 9 holes starting 25 yards from each green.
Shoot par (36) or better to pass Division
When they shoot par (36) or better, the golfer progresses to Division 2, where they start 50 yards from each green.
This challenge continues until the golfer can shoot par (36) from all 10 divisions!

Thank you to everyone that played in the Shamrock Ball and the Pinehurst e fairways are hedule for the Jack J Mark N Craig Pablo MOur Women’s club held their Spring Handicap Tournament April 12, and 18th This was a two-day tournament, with players of all abilities competing for lowest net score. We only had three groups playing this year, which was disappointing, but injuries and family vacations got in the way The weather was fantastic and the course was in beautiful condition I would like to congratulate the winners!
Over all low net was Mary Michel with a combined net score of 133
First Flight winner was Judy Davis with combined net score of 156 Second Flight was Leslie Williams with a combined net score of 144 Third Flight winner was Margaret Taylor with combined net score of 147
Our next big event will be the Women’s Invitational, to be held on May 23rd and 24th We have 68 players coming from all over the area to play.
This year’s theme is Par-Tee at the Peach. There will be fun games along with the golf, luncheons and prizes. Nancy Stallins is the chairperson, and she and her committee have worked hard to make this a fun tournament for everyone. Nancy and the committee would like to thank all the members and area businesses that have helped by generously sponsoring the tournament They will be donating 1/3 of the money to our junior golf program
