It has truly been an honor and a blessing to serve as your Junior Province Vice Polemarch for the past year Since deciding to run for the JVP position last year, my mission has always been to increase undergraduate engagement within the fraternity and the province. To that end, I have thoroughly and actively participated and lead during the 2022 C. Rodger Wilson Leadership Conference, assisting with the arrangement and promulgation of an undergraduate service opportunity with Junior Achievement Finance Park. I have also worked diligently with undergraduate chapter polemarchs throughout the province with questions and advice they may have had It has truly been a great year! As your Junior Province Vice Polemarch, I also got to attend the Association for Fraternal Leadership and Values conference in Indianapolis, Indiana along with other JVP’s from around the country This conference also held the inaugural reception for the National Black Greek Leadership conference, which hosted all other Divine Nine organizations. While at the conference, I was able to fellowship with brothers, network with different Greeks, and learn more about how other provinces conduct business Continuous participation in these conferences will benefit the Eastern Province’s undergraduate leadership. At province council, I am looking forward to reconnecting with brothers from across the province, attending the Undergraduate Leadership Conference (ULC) with my undergraduate brothers and working with the board to pull off a successful council meeting.
Finally, to my undergraduate brothers, congrats! You’ve almost made it to the end of another successful academic year and fraternal year. Take some time over the summer to reflect on what went well and what you can improve on in the upcoming year. To all the Spring ’23 initiates, “Welcome to the Bond!” You’ve joined the greatest fraternity in the world, and things will only get better as you grow in Kappa As we say, “Many are called, few are chosen” and we know you have the skills and values that are necessary to be a great Kappa man --- that is why you were chosen!
Keep achieving no matter what you do, and know you come from THE best province in the fraternity.
Yours in the Bond,
