Joy to the World Junior School Band and Combined Choirs

Joy to the world, the Lord is come. Let Earth receive her King. Let every heart prepare Him room. And Heaven and nature sing, And Heaven and nature sing, And Heaven, and Heaven, and nature sing.

Joy to the world, the Saviour reigns. Let us our songs employ, While fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains, Repeat the sounding joy, Repeat the sounding joy, Repeat, repeat, the sounding joy.

He rules the world with truth and grace. And makes the nations prove, The glories of His righteousness, And wonders of His love, And wonders of His love, And wonders, and wonders, of His love.

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

Petite Chorale

You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen

Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen

But do you recall The most famous reindeer of all?

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

Had a very shiny nose

And if you ever saw it

You would even say it glows. All of the other reindeer

Used to laugh and call him names They never let poor Rudolph Join in any reindeer games.

Then one foggy Christmas Eve

Santa came to say “Rudolph, with your nose so bright Won’t you guide my sleigh tonight?”

Then how the reindeer loved him

As they shouted out with glee “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer You’ll go down in history” (Repeat).

Christmas Today (YMCA)

Community Choir

Christmas - it’s a time to get down, I said Christmas - Yeah Santa’s coming to town, I said Christmas - Christmas cheer’s all around there’s no need to be unhappy.

Presents - lined up under the tree, I said Presents - some for you some for me, I said presents - wonder what they could be, oh to-day makes me so ha-ppy

Chorus

Let’s have some fun cause it’s Christmas today! Let’s have some fun cause it’s Christmas today! And there’s everything, for the kids to enjoy, they can play round with all their toys,

Let’s have some fun cause it’s Christmas today! Let’s have some fun cause it’s Christmas today! Put the lights on the tree, get the music pumping, and let’s do whatever we feel.

Santa! - Are you listening to me, I said Santa! - What did you get for me, I said Santa! - Of all the things I could need I just really want this one thing

That no one - does Christmas all by themselves, And that love! - Will be what everyone gets And together! - We will celebrate, to make this the best damn holiday

Chorus

Carols – Set in PLC grounds Carols – make a beautiful sound As we sing them – with everybody around To make joyful music with you Music – makes us all want to dance Music - puts us all in a trance

It’s a great way - to bring everyone close As we sing our song right to you.

Summer Wonderland Community Choir

Sleigh bells ring, are you listening?

Sunburn sting, ice blocks glistening

The beautiful sight

Of barbies alight

Strolling through a summer wonderland

Pour the Sav in the sunshine

Serve the pav up at lunchtime

Pop the bubbles for Nan, Pineapples on ham

Strolling through a summer wonderland

In the arvo we can grab the wickets

And plastic cricket bat your brother found Backyard full of all your distant rellies

So we pass the can of mozzie spray around

Later on, sun is falling

And your old uncle’s snoring

We’ll hear the birds in the trees

Feel the warm breeze

Strolling through a summer wonderland

Music Interlude Dance

In the arvo we can grab the wickets

And plastic cricket bat your brother found Backyard full of all your distant rellies

So we pass the can of mozzie spray around

Way down here, Christmas landmarks

Are summer flowers and funny tan marks

We’re happy and bright

Not a snowman in sight

Strolling through a summer wonderland (x3)

Away in a Manger

Deci-belles Choir

Away in a manger

No crib for a bed

The little Lord Jesus Laid down His sweet head. The stars in the bright sky Looked down where He lay

The little Lord Jesus Asleep on the hay.

The cattle are lowing

The Baby awakes

But little Lord Jesus

No crying He makes.

I love You, Lord Jesus Look down from the sky

And stay by my side Until morning is nigh.

Once in Royal David’s City Deci-belles

Choir

Once in Royal David’s city Stood a lowly cattle shed, Where a mother laid her Baby In a manger for His bed: Mary was that mother mild, Jesus Christ her little Child.

He came down to earth from heaven, Who is God and Lord of all, And His shelter was a stable, And His cradle was a stall; With the poor, and mean, and lowly, Lived on earth our Saviour holy.

And our eyes at last shall see Him, Through His own redeeming love; For that Child so dear and gentle Is our Lord in heaven above, And He leads His children on To the place where He is gone.
