Annual day at Alpha Arts and Science college Women’s day celebration in Vedanta Academy Alpha Arts and Science College (Porur) celebrated its 20th Annual College Day on Feb 9. Dr.Ashalatha,principal of the college presided over the function and delivered the presidential address. Sam Pravin, Secretary (Tamilnadu) All India Press Club-Chennai was the chief guest. The college toppers were awarded with a certificate and a trophy. A presentation of the achievements of the college was exhibited followed by the cultural events exhibiting the talents of the students. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by the Vice Principal of the college Geetha Ravi.

Vedanta Academy ranked 1st in best Emerging School

Vedanta Academy CBSE School (Vanagaram) in Association with New Life Foundation Trust will celebrate Women’s day on March 4th in its premises. As part of the celebration, competitions on cooking, Rangoli, mehendi etc will

be conducted for women. Apart from competitions, there will be games also. Vedanta SHE award will be given for Lakshmi Ramakrishnan (actress, director and TV Anchor) for her outstanding contribution to the society.

Cultural festival of Velammal School

The Interact Club of The PSBB Millennium School in collaboration with the Environmental Foundation of India, had organized a program in spreading awareness towards pond restoration in and around Gerugambakkam in compliance with their quality policy and motto. On Feb.19, as the primary stage of ponds restoration, under the guidance of the coordinators Priya Satish and Hema Rengarajan of the Interact Club, around 11 students of Std 9 whitewashed the huge wall of Gerugambakkam Panchayat office. They painted artistically with symbolic representation of ponds restoration. The awareness painting also included judicious use of water and no plastic themes. It turned out to be a successful event in spreading awareness to the public.

Velammal Main School (Mugappair campus) celebrated the cultural festival on Feb 24. Kalaimamani Srinivas(Playback singer) and Kalaimamani Srekala Bharath (Indian Classical Dance Exponent) was the

chief guest. Dance Arangetram, Music and Dance, Documentary and Yoga was performed by the students. Varna Art book with 666 paintings was released by the chief guest. A display of

12 feet Nataraj statue with plastic cups made by fine arts students. The speech of the chief guest motivated students to exhibit their talents not only in the studies also in the extra curricular activities .
