Annual day celebrated at The PSBB Millennium School

Patience a quality which is rarely seen today was the theme of Akriti 2018.

The PSBB Millennium School, Gerugumbakkam celebrated annual day on August 30 and 31 in the title of Sahishnutha.

The programme was a feast for the eyes, ears and emotions.

The chief guest for both the days were Usha Srinivasan (Producer of AVM Productions) and Pavitra Srinivasan (Bharathanatyam danceuse and Founder of Arsha Kala Bharathi) respectively.

The guest of honour were Durga Chandrasekar (Vice Principal of T. Nagar PSBB) and Asha Pillai (Assistant Vice Principal , PSBB Nungambakkam) respectively.

Lush, vibrant , warm and flamboyant coloured costumes added extra zing to the stupendous performance of the talented students.

Each programme was unique in its own way and highlighted the importance of patience.

Finally a fitting tribute in the form of a play was enacted and dedicated to our truly patient heroes-our Soldiers.

Wall painting was painted on the wall of the Metro water board in Kaliamman Koil Street, Koyambedu by Environmentalist

Foundation of India and volunteers.

In past 10 years E.F.I. cleaned and restored 88 water bodies across India and is currently in

the process of restoring 9 more at Madhavaram, Ambattur and Minjur.

The best restoration success was felt after the restoration of Karasangal

lake near Mudichur which is now home to 37 species of birds, 10 species of reptiles, 15 species of fishes and much more.

Relief for Kerala flood victims by Velammal students

Velammal educational trust donated relief materials to the Kerala flood victims on September 4, in its Mugappair campus. The flood relief flag off ceremony was presided over by Vignesh Kumar (Senior Vice President, Marketing, The New Indian Express). The materials included rice, bath soap, detergent soap, detergent powder, toothbrush, toothpaste, sanitary napkins, biscuits and provisions. The chairman of Velammal educational trust, M. V.
