Velammal main school, Mogappair campus organized an awareness seminar on Prevention of child abuse on Jan18 in its premises.

The guests of honour J. Ebenezer Martin, Chitra Aravindan, and P. Lekha Sri presided over the workshop.

They discussed about child abuse and child maltreatment which has increased in India. To raise an awareness and make a difference in their lives, slogans against child abuse were shown for the survival, safety and self – esteem of children’s growth and development.

They also spoke about various organizations which are ready to help and take action against any form of physical, psychological and emotional maltreatment of a child.

Girl students from Std.6 to 8 participated in the workshop. The session was informative and useful to the students.

Sri Krishna Sweets Salute to Mothers – Honoured 15 Celebrities Mothers

The 10th edition of Sri Krishna Sweets Salute to Mothers held in The Music Academy, TTK Road, Royapettah.

It was pleasant emotional evening at Music Academy spent by celebrities remembering and recollecting their memories and re-connecting a close bond with their mothers.

The programme organised by Sri Krishna Sweets as part of Corporate Social Responsibility brought together and felicitated the mothers of 15 achievers in various fields of Defence, Legal, Medical, Music, Education, Business, Auditor, Music Director, Actor and others.

The mothers looked on proudly and enjoyed every moment as their children spoke at length about their upbringing. Hon’ble Justice Dr.Anita Sumanth, Judge, High Court of Madras was the chief guest.

The celebrities mothers were honoured with citation, garlands and prasadam from various temples.
