Indian Medical Association (IMA) Porur branch was awarded 4 prizes at IMA TN state conference - MAHAMAMCON 2018 held at Kumbakonam on December 08 and 09, 2018.

Dr. A. Ramji in his speech praised M. Murali of Sri Krishna Sweets in conducting music performance under the banner ‘Naal Thorum Nalathu Seivom’ once in a month round the year with Sri Thiagaraja Sangeetha Vidwath Samajam for promoting music and fine arts and appreciated his involvement in giving citation in Braille format to Morsing Vidwan S. Manikandan who is a visually challenged.

Music Critic and Astrologer Harikesanallur Venkatraman on behalf of the awardees in acceptance speech thanked for identifying him as a Music Critic.

They shared that it was a memorable movement.

He expressed his gratitude and thanked for the award.

Velammal student excel in Quiz contest

K. Aniruth kumar, Std. 11 of Velammal Main School, Mogappair campus represented Tamil Nadu in the U-17 category in 64th National School Games conducted at Bhuvaneshwar from Dec. 7 to Dec. 12.

He won the bronze medal among 32 states in the lawn tennis team event organized by School Games Federation of India.

R. Vinopa, Std. 7 of Velammal Main School, Mugappair campus secured the third place in Chennai Day Quiz conducted and organized by Chutti Vikatan held on Dec. 9.

More than 12000 students from various schools participated in this competition.
