Workshop on ‘Human Resource’ held in Alpha arts and Science College
The Commerce & Economics departments of Alpha arts and science college (Porur) organised a 2-day workshop on ‘emerging horizons in HR on 17th and 18th of Oct 16. The first day of workshop was inaugurated by Justice Dr. S. Tamilvannan, Mr. Mohan Fernando (Joint General Manager (HR) L&T), Ms. Adhilakshmi Logamurthy (Advocate and Social Activist), and Dr. Magesh, (Professor, Anna University). The first session was addressed by V. Kalyanasundaram (Head –HR, Nokia India Ltd.). He shared his expertise on organizational development. The discussion was followed by question answer session. Jayakumar (Professor Anna University) gave a motivational speech with practical examples. Ms. Adhilakshmi Logamurthy (Advocate and Social Activist) briefed about role of Women in Corporate. Mr. Kuruinji Vendhan (Professor, Annamalai University) spoke about HR Management in Epics. The last session of Day 1 was a technical session which was handled by R. Vendhan (Professor, Jerusalem College of Engineering) who emphasised the role of HR. In the second day of workshop, Ms Sugitha (Consultant -Kalaingar TV) shared her expertise on Leadership. The Chief Guest for the Valedictory Function was Ms. Latha Rajan, (Co-Founder -MaFoi Management Consultants P Ltd, Promoter and Managing Director of Varam Pvt Ltd.) The Guest of Honour was Dr. Vaneeta Aggarwal(Professor, Dept. of Management Studies University of Madras) and Dr. A.K. Sheik Manzoor (Professor, Dept. of Management Studies, Anna University). Many students and staff members from various educational institutions participated in the workshop.
