Quarant-Zine Spring 2021

Letter from the Editor Hello Readers, The creative writing club makes great work every semester, but this one was different. We wanted to create a collection of original pieces to showcase that. There’s something amazing about people coming together to make collaborative work! This semester, the Quarant-zine contributors have focused on personal experiences and gotten creative with each other. We started out making a small zine in quarantine and I’m really proud of the work we’ve created. With the major themes of escapism, quarantining, and adapting to the online experience, the Quarant-zine captures our resilience and general thoughts. We started with a group of writers who didn’t know each other outside of class or the PWC club. We brought in talented artists, pet models, and all of our collective brainpower to make this happen. I want to hear what other people have to say through their art. I want to bring people together to do that. We have to process and create and move forward as students and writers and artists. PWC’s Quarant-zine was created to provide that space. We aim to grow as artists! I’ve learned how to bring new skills to the table and filled in what was needed. Thank you to each of my contributors. Thank you to everyone who stepped up to help. Thank you to our advisors. Thank you for sharing reminders of what your quarantine was like. For all the ways we’ve changed, we can still get to know each other. With hope, Rebecca Lee Chief Editor Poets and Writers Coalition Quarant-Zine Spring 2021
