breathing in the black mold we hold the words we heard; we’re groped in herds. we’re scared to death under our beds and covered up from the mandate’s mark that makes us all afraid of the dark.
unlock the screen and hear their screams; disbarred, eyes scarred, feeling maimed and marred. we’re laid these days along razorblades of piercing barks from the rich man’s remarks ––no breaks to take, no goddamn regard.
left to test, arrest life, leave death... over cliffside’s edge with arms left outstretched we can’t reach skin’s touch because it’s too much. staring sleepless at night––frowns showing the stars that stark days steal time to cry for those disembarked.
