“En el año 1986 construí la primera escuela de Windsurf del caribe en Cabarete con 125 tablas y alojamiento, con esto vendía paquetes, promocionando el destino y logrando traer el primer año 3500 turistas, un gran logro para un lugar que en esa época aun no era muy conocido.”
“Cuando llegué a Cabarete prácticamente no existía nada, pero la zona tenía todo para su desarrollo como referente turístico en el Caribe. Entonces entendí que era un buen momento de mi vida para hacer compras inteligentes, compré terreno con la visión de contribuir al desarrollo del Unalugar”.de las primeras inversiones de Coutu fue donde hoy se ubica el restaurante y centro de windsurf Vela. Posteriormente, con su empresa constructora, desarrolló los proyectos de hospedaje más importantes de Cabarate, como Hotel Velero, Ocean Dream, Millennium, entre otras propiedades que llevan su firma.

Brito es abogado de profesión, pero su trayectoria profesional le ha permitido vincular su carrera con otra de sus grandes pasiones: el turismo. Para él, la sustentabilidad turística comienza con involucrar a la comunidad como parte del desarrollo de un destino, para que las personas se sientan comprometidas e identificadas, brindando una mejor experiencia, lo que motiva a despertar la lealtad de quienes eligen el destino para vacacionar. When approached by Revista Plus about the commitment of the administration he heads in favor of Mitur in Sosúa, the dynamic official said he will work on a plan focused on community tourism. “We have to exploit all our resources and present the value of our people as one of our great potentialities. En ese sentido, este proyecto destaca que los centros de salud que brinden servicios a un extranjero recibirán una deducción del 50% del impuesto sobre la renta (ISR).
The bill emphasizes that, in order to promote the sustainable development of health and wellness tourism, given the conditions and potential of the province of Santiago in these areas, it is essential to provide these activities with the appropriate regulatory framework for the development of plans, policies, programs and agreements to take advantage of these conditions for the export of health services. With this Law, foreigners will have special exemptions when performing tourism and accrediting their condition before any corresponding clinic or health center, even if it is not accredited and classified as a health tourism center, an exemption of 50% of the tax on the transfer of industrialized goods and services (ITBIS) for the services received, in the form of reimbursement upon leaving the country. On Encuentro beach, there are 3 surf schools: Buena Onda, Pauhana and Chino Surf School. There might be some people who think surfing is boring and a waste of time. Well, they are wrong: surfing is an amazing sport, it’s nice and it’s calming. I got into surfing when I met Zane Schweitzer, a multiple world champion of surfing, kite surfing, paddle boarding and windsurfing. He came several times to Encuentro to race in the international Master of the Ocean competition, of which he won all four sports.
