EXCELS!

Dean Driscoll & Decklen Williams – “How Salt Affects Water” Joy Campos – “Why Does the Earth Have Layers?”

The biggest accomplishment for 5th grade this year was their work on their science fair projects. Both classes dedicated themselves and really produced some exceptional work. Some chose to work in groups which taught them how to work together as a team and create a project they could all be proud of. Others chose to work alone which taught them there are situations in which they are solely responsible for the outcome. Both groups learned to take a large project and break it down into smaller components to achieve the end goal.

One of the many things we love about our students is how much they have grown spiritually this year! I have seen them dig into God’s Word with excitement to read it and ask amazing deep questions because they wanted to know God more! Our students love to pray! During the National Day of Prayer, most of our 5th graders stepped up to pray multiple times with boldness and confidence for our nation! It was a blessing to see God use this generation to rise up and pray! We are so proud of our 5th graders. God has amazing plans for them!

ACHIEVES!

After two years of interrupted classes, remote and hybrid learning, students, thankfully, returned to the classroom for a full academic year. What a year it was for Phoenix Christian Middle School. The year was filled with extraordinary achievements. We celebrated four athletic championships, a successful middle school science fair, remarkable growth in our test scores, and a thriving Fine Arts and STEM program. Many of our middle school students participated in the Lion King musical this last spring—what an incredible experience!

As we anticipate this next year, we look forward to full classrooms on the second floor with over 115 students. They will have opportunities to explore their many gifts and talents through our elective opportunities including new courses like Home Management, Book Club, Athletic Training, and Graphic Design. Our MESA program kicks back off this year with plans for competing in two major competitions. With an all-star teaching team, I am confident that God will do amazing things in Middle School!
