WELCOME FROM YOUR LEADERSHIP

As we look back, we are grateful.

God has impacted the lives of many students and their families using the ministry of Phoenix Christian. Thousands of young people have made memories and forged relationships as PC Cougars. Many of these friendships continue to grow and flourish decades after their brief time as students transition to a lifetime as Phoenix Christian Alumni. Consider for a moment so many students through so many eras and not one of them at Phoenix Christian by chance. Rather, each one finds their way to PC as God’s sovereign and perfect plan unfolds in his or her life. All of this for God’s glory, all for the good of His Kingdom on earth and for eternity. We are eternally grateful to the Lord, and we trust Him. Phoenix Christian Preparatory School began its ministry of Christian education in 1949 as a covenant Christian school as enrolled families were required to submit their Christian testimony and submit proof of church affiliation. In 2009, Phoenix Christian made the decision to embrace a missional model which removed previous requirements. This change speaks directly to the heart of our school. Here at Phoenix Christian, we welcome students from all backgrounds to study and grow under the loving and faithful direction of our devoted staff of believers. Phoenix Christian’s Missional Focus is for each student to: • Encounter Jesus Christ daily. • Grow in relationship with Jesus Christ. • Share the good news of Jesus Christ. • Embody a community in which students will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character, the dream of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. • Excel through the abundance of opportunities to launch a Christ-

Centered life. The Phoenix Christian we celebrate today is being renewed and reinvented by the leading of the Holy Spirit. Each and every day we are increasingly aware of the unique gift the Lord has given Phoenix Christian. PC today, more than ever before, is a broad reflection of God’s image and of His handiwork. None of us, even with our best efforts, could have imagined or orchestrated all that God is doing right now in this very season of ministry in, through, and around Phoenix Christian. We are mindful that God is moving and will follow Him as He leads us. With prayer,

As we look forward, we are committed.

As we continue to celebrate all that God has done, is doing, and will do through Phoenix Christian many who may have been around for a while can only marvel and worship in awe at the ways in which the Lord continues to express His incredible handiwork on this living canvas we recognize as PC’s campus, classrooms, and athletic venues. We know that our Creator desires and pursues relationship with His creation. The best that we can offer in response is to obey His call and pray earnestly that He will find us available and faithful to walk with Him as He leads the way. Jesus is the One who put PC on this new path we now call missional. He is the One Who ordered our steps to transition from a previously closed enrollment to an honest enrollment. As we continue to move forward in step with God’s new missional design for PC, every new student relationship is built on a foundation of an honest and open understanding that Phoenix Christian is unashamed of the gospel and committed to teaching, coaching, and leading from the perspective of a Biblical worldview. We know that eternity is at stake and that time is of the essence. That means every student, every family, and every kid that God calls to PC as a part of His mission for us, regardless of where they may be on their personal faith journey, is welcomed, loved, and encouraged as a treasured gift from the Lord. Those who God draws to Phoenix Christian know that Jesus is our leader. We are fiercely committed to presenting the truth of God’s word consistently and with love. We are committed and by God’s grace we will not miss out on joining Him in the mission to which we have been called. We will continue to introduce young people coming from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives to the person of Jesus Christ. We will equip and nurture those in our care to live out their worship of Jesus in a variety of ways that are useful to Him for the sake of His Kingdom both here and for eternity. CougarNow!
