Incubation X-knowledge Module™ Commercial incubation involves managing batches of eggs with different backgrounds. This does not only relate to the flock type, but also to the conditions experienced by the egg prior to incubation. The only way of achieving the best incubation results is by taking these ‘egg variables’ into account. The X-Streamer™ features a unique module, the so-called Incubation X-knowledge Module™, that enables you to easily log the egg variables and take complete and precise control over every step of your hatchery operations in a selflearning way. Based on the logged information, the powerful software automatically provides accurate setter and hatcher programming information for each specific batch of eggs, e.g. by prompting the best incubation programme. This makes the X-Streamer™ the first intelligent incubator that knows which eggs are on board and uses this knowledge to guide you to the best incubation practices and results; not only for eggs from easy-to-incubate mid-age flocks, but also for more challenging young and old flocks.

Extended incubation library The X-Streamer™ incorporates an extensive incubation library with newly added standard profiles for different fowls, breeds and flock ages. Thanks to the Incubation X-knowledge Module™, the right profile is automatically suggested, which ensures the precise control of temperature, humidity and CO₂ for each specific batch of eggs. 6|7


Incubator loading assistant & Transfer assistant Successful incubation also depends on the position of each trolley inside the machine. Loading setters in a correct way is essential for optimal embryonic development. Equally important are the transfer and loading patterns for hatchers. Only the combination of good operational practices in both setters and hatchers results in optimal incubation results. The X-Streamer™ allows you to predefine the exact positions of the trolleys inside the setters and hatchers based on an intelligent auto-suggest function. Moreover, for each setter you can program into which specific hatchers the trolleys need to go. Your operators only need to access the overview screen and follow the instructions. This virtually eliminates the risk of making mistakes during both loading and transfer.

Interconnected setter-hatcher technology The X-Streamer™ takes it another step further: it employs an intelligent information system that makes setters and hatchers ‘communicate’ with each other. Thanks to this system, you can track and trace every trolley inside your hatchery. At any given moment, you know which trolleys are inside, which setter they were previously in or which hatcher they will go into next. No more fuss with paper notes on trolleys or machine doors. Moreover, the X-Streamer™’s convenient history analysis feature allows you to analyse fully integrated setter and hatcher cycles, which makes it much easier to trace back issues.


Alarm module with smart QR codes Whenever a machine goes into alarm mode, the X-Streamer™ will show you an alarm-specific QR code. By scanning the QR code, you immediately see all the information needed to solve the problem. In this way, any equipment failure or programme deviation can be detected and resolved quickly without the need to consult a manual.

Eagle Trax™ What makes all of this happen is Eagle Trax™, Petersime’s innovative software for full traceability at hatchery level, and thus the ‘brain’ of the X-Streamer™ that communicates with each incubator controller in the hatchery. Eggs need to lose a certain amount of weight to achieve optimal chick hatchability and quality. DWLS™ automatically adjusts humidity levels to achieve the desired weight loss trajectory.

To shorten the hatch window, Synchro-Hatch™ triggers simultaneous hatching and guarantees uniform day-old chicks.

Egg storage X-Streamer™ Re-Store Egg storage times do no longer have to lead to losses. By applying heat treatment during storage in the dedicated X-Streamer™ Re-Store incubator, you restore the viability of stored eggs and you hatch more chicks. These chicks are born within a shorter hatch window, are more uniform and of better quality.

Incubation at an increased egg density X-Streamer™ High Density High Density (HD) setters and hatchers are specially designed and engineered to house 12% more eggs, while leaving the same footprint and delivering the same high levels of healthy birds after hatch compared to a standard X-Streamer™. This philosophy is reflected in everything we bring to market. To customers who have additional welfare interests, we can offer following dedicated solutions: Opti-Feed™ and Cradle-Hatch™.

Opti-Feed™

Cradle-Hatch™

To give your chicks access to feed and water, Petersime hatchers – existing and new – can be equipped with Opti-Feed™. This solution consists of specially designed automatic feeder walls with gutters that hold a highly nutritious feed. The cover lids on the gutters are controlled by the machine software: they will stay closed to keep the feed and gel inside clean and safe, and will automatically open at the optimum moment for your chicks to be fed. The right lighting is also in place to stimulate the feeding process.

Thanks to Cradle-Hatch™, hatch and transport take place inside a uniquely designed double-level box system to ensure stress-free chick processing and maximum chick comfort. The eggs are placed in the Nest Box™, which is positioned right on top of the Cradle Box™. Once recovered from their intense hatching process, the new-born chicks are ready to leave the Nest Box™ and find their way down to the Cradle Box™. The density inside the Cradle Box™ is lower compared to standard baskets, equalling more space and comfort. As the chicks stay in the Cradle Box™ until their arrival at the farm, they don’t have to pass automated machines and will enjoy better, stress-free conditions.
