AUTUMN WINTER 2015 This collection is one of my favourites. I love how the prints reflect our love of nature with botanical leaves, geological abstracts, winter florals and chirpy graphic owls. Have you have had a chance to watch The True Cost? A documentary on the social and environmental impacts of fashion. I’ve travelled to Milan, New York, Tokyo, and here in London for launch screenings, panel discussions and talked to press. I would love to hear your views via social media. This new collaboration showcases some of Zandra’s iconic prints on the finest 100% certified organic cotton. Dancing Stars were drawn whilst Zandra was at the Royal College of Art where she took inspiration from David Hockney and decided that the theme of her final major project would be these amazing medal-shaped stars. Zandra Rhodes went to the war museum and
Wellington’s home to draw rows of medals in the form of graphic individual stars, adorned with playful bows. At college Zandra bought her first television which inspired pop art inspired sketches of Lady Penelope’s car. The dramatic explosions of the Comic Check print are a take on comic strips the dots are newspaper full stops. Each piece is made in 100% organic certified cotton. People Tree producer group Assisi garments create clothes that are made to Fair Trade standards. Using organic cotton made without harmful pesticides, insecticides and fertilizers. Fair Trade principles ensure the rights of the workers and put profit into social welfare projects, including schools and hospitals.

People Tree supports 1,930 farmers around India, paying a fair price and helping farmers to switch to organic and Fair Trade practices. They own their seedbanks, freeing them from the control of chemical and GMO seed companies.
