Made by Bombolulu People Tree’s Spring Summer 23 jewellery range celebrates the beauty of nature. Charming butterfly, cloud and love heart motifs feature on brass and silver-plated brass designs, crafted by skilled artisans at Bombolulu. This Fair Trade producer partner empowers workers with physical disabilities to live independently and earn a fair wage, providing the vocational training they need. The artisans make every detail of the jewellery manually - even the individual links on some of the chains are made by hand. The non-profit organisation produces crafts of a very high standard. The artisans are also supported with many social benefits, including a clinic, nursery, and a HIV prevention clinic.

Made by KTS Familiar favourites such as the Labradorite and Red Onyx semiprecious styles from last season bring a pop of colour to your jewellery collection, crafted by jewellers at Shaddra Handicrafts (supported by our Nepal-based knitwear partner KTS). Each piece is exquisitely handcrafted, so that even the chains and charms are made by hand. Raju Sahakya, who runs Shaddra Handicrafts, started learning to make jewellery at the age of 13. As an assistant to a jewellery maker, he couldn’t rely on regular work and therefore found it difficult to support himself. Raju married Rina who works at KTS and, seeing his economic situation, she encouraged him to open a workshop. She approached KTS, asking if they could support them with a loan for the workshop and assist with marketing to help them find customers. Raju has built a new home and workshop with the income generated from the silver jewellery. He also now has three part time workers who help to craft each beautiful piece.
