AW22 Jewellery Collection The finishing touches to any outfit, our exquisitely handmade jewellery designs have been carefully crafted by our Fair Trade artisans in Kenya and Nepal. This season, we introduce an entirely new collection featuring innovative styles in brass and silver-plated brass. Jewellery featuring semi-precious stones Labradorite and Red Onyx, symbolising wisdom and strength, are beautiful standout pieces. All styles are verified by the World Fair Trade Organisation (WFTO). People Tree partners with Bombolulu to create beautiful handmade jewellery in brass and silver plate. The artisans make every detail of the jewellery manually – even the link of each chain is made by hand. Bombolulu is a Fair Trade and social business in Mombasa, Kenya. Bombolulu was established in 1969 as a rehabilitation project sponsored by the Association for the Physically Disabled of Kenya. Bombolulu provides support to disabled artisans to help them overcome their physical limitations and empower them economically and socially to become fully integrated members of their communities. The non-profit organisation produces crafts of a very high standard and gives vocational training to people with special abilities. The artisans are also supported with many social benefits, including a clinic, nursery, and a HIV prevention clinic.

Made by KTS The collection started with a love story… Raju Shakya married Rina from KTS in 2001. Struggling for work, Rina advised Raju to establish his own workshop and came to KTS based in Nepal (who support the local community with various projects) for a loan for Raju to establish his own jewellery workshop. The great news was, KTS approved Raju an interest free loan. Thanks to the support of KTS and orders from Fair Trade buyers such as People Tree, their economic status and life has greatly improved. KTS Jewellery is skillfully handmade using sterling silver and beautiful semi-precious stones.
