A Historic Water Wall will be built at the Visitors Centre in Partnership with the Peachland Chamber of Commerce, Peachland Historical Society and the Peachland Community Arts Council. This interpretive feature will highlight how Peachland historically used and is currently using water and how it has contributed to the development of Peachland, the Okanagan and Canada. This project is made possible through the British Columbia-Canada 150: Celebrating B.C. Communities and their Contributions to Canada grant and is expected to open late fall 2017. A big thank you to all the Peachland community groups who have embraced the Canada 150 theme “Strong, Proud and Free” to Celebrate Canada’s Sesquicentennial. In particular, the Peachland Community Arts Council invites the public to contribute to historic Peachland’s (circa 1914) entry for the Guinness Book of World Records by painting one of the 6048 squares. Please stop by the Art Gallery and contribute to the record attempt! Summer is an active time in Peachland. From community events, outdoor pursuits or structured programs, there is something for everyone. If you are new to our programs at the Community Centre, your first day is always FREE. We hope you will come by and give us a try.

Your child will learn to swim and stay safe in a fun environment that promotes a personal best and celebrates individual success. Our small class sizes in the beautiful Okanagan Lake make it an unique swim experience. Classes may be re-organized to ensure that children are participating at the most appropriate skill level. In the beginner levels, children will focus on getting comfortable in the water, water safety and learning progressions that will lead to stroke development in the higher levels. As the children progress, they will learn both competitive and survival strokes while building their distance and speed. Children will also learn about making safe decisions in, on and around the water.
Swim Lessons
In each level, participants are evaluated based on performance criteria and progress to the next level once all criteria have been successfully completed.
