Thanks for taking the time to review our sale catalog. We’re proud of the bulls we’re offering at the Basin Bull Sale this year. They’re thick, structurally sound and uniform from the top end to the bottom.

What’s more, they each come from a dam that you’d be excited to have as the paternal grand dam to your next batch of replacement heifers. We’ve been raising registered Angus cattle since 1969 and have always believed that the advantage of our breed lies in the superiority of the Angus female. Consequently, we strive to stack in our pedigrees generations of individuals with bred in maternal quality or in other words the kind of cows that will keep you in the business.

We also believe that alot of the selection pressure being placed on the Angus breed as a whole today is antiethical to making a maternal, productive cow herd.

His genetics say he will be fine as a heifer bull. You will want to keep all of his daughters. Very good maternal genetics here.

My dad purchased Ideal 8423 from Jorgensen’s Angus back in 1999. The bull was line bred to RR Rito 707, tracing back to him 32 times. He was a perforance sire.

His sons did consistently well through the Midland Bull Test. Although he was a powerful performance sire he was also a heifer bull. We are selling two of his son’s out of first calf heifes in the sale.

Although we bought his sire for his extreme performance he proved to be a bull we could safely use on heifers and get some added growth from the calves. You’ll really like this bull and his paternal brother # 917.
