Welcome “I like spring, but it is too young. I like summer, but it is too proud. So, best of all I like Autumn. Its leaves are a little yellow, its tone is mellower, its colours richer, and it is tinged a little with sorrow… Its golden riches speak not of the innocence of spring, nor the power of summer, but of the mellowness and kingly wisdom of approaching age. It knows the limitations of life and its content.” – Lin Yutang As we enter Autumn here in Australia and enjoy the last few weeks of the warm days by the pool and BBQ’s with friends before we make the transition into Winter, I am reminded of the quote above. What an amazing description of Autumn. Truly capturing the essence of this season. Autumn is a visually spectacular season, a transitional time, which I feel is the most underrated because of our busy lives. I have found that people have a strong opinion on the other 3 seasons but miss the beauty and wisdom this season brings. In our lives, Autumn is the time when we both reap from our seeds and prepare for Winter, or we are humbled as we see the results from our decisions. It is a time of hindsight and learning from what worked & what didn’t. It is the time after a success, be it a goal is completed, a dream is fulfilled or problems are overcome. A period in time when the dust has settled, where you become wiser and prepare for the next level, the next challenge, the next growth or journey.

The focus is relaxed, the emotion is calm and when you stand humble you see things for what they really are. It is good to be able to stop from everything you are doing, and use the wisdom of Autumn in your goals, dreams and problems. Even if the project you are on, the goal you are achieving or the problem you are facing is not in the Autumn season yet, the wisdom from Autumn can help you ensure you are on the right track or if you need to, realign your sight. Take the time now to take that goal, dream or problem you may have a high emotion with, or maybe it’s a laser focus, and step back from it. Enjoy the beauty of your progress and the wisdom you have found from it already. In hindsight would you have done everything the same till this point. Celebrate the point you are at and adjust as necessary. 1. What is the goal, dream or problem you are currently undertaking? 2. In hindsight, would you do it all the same, write down the things you have

done right or if there has been mistakes, write down what you would do differently if you had to do it again (The key here is not to write down and focus on the things you may have done wrong, but what you have learnt from it). 3. Are you on track? Do you need to make any adjustments? Celebrate the progress you have made so far. Well Done. Yours in Prosperity

IS YOUR MONEY AN

ABUNDANT STREAM? Like
it
or
not,
 Money
is
a
tool
 that
is
critical
 to
 living
 on
planet
 earth.
 It
 is
 an
 incredible
 tool
if
used
correctly.
 But
 remember,
 money
 is
 an
incredible
 servant
 but
 a
 lousy
 master.
 Money
 should
 be
 used
 to
 work
 for
 you,
 serve
you
and
increase
for
you.
 How
 do
 you
 view
money?
 Is
 money
 like
 a
 big
 pool,
 or
 is
 it
 a
 stream
 to
 you.
 Many
 people
think
that
money
is
 just
a
big
pool,
 a
 big
 old
pie
 of
 money.
 They
 fear
 that
 if
 they
 let
the
money
?low
out,
the
pool
will
 dry
up.
 They
 squeeze
 their
 dollar
 so
 hard
 that
 the
 queen
is
choking. What
they
end
up
with
 is
 a
stagnant
 murky
 pool.
 Overlooking
 what
 has
 happened
 by
 blocking
 the
 outlet,
 they
 are
 also
 blocking
 the
inlet.

For
 money
 to
 grow
 it
 has
 to
 circulate.
 It
 is
 called
 currency
 because
 it
 travels
 like
 a
 current
 to
 all
 those
 who
 are
 tapped
 into
 it.
 People
 save
 it
 for
 a
 rainy
 day
 and
 that
 is
 exactly
what
they
get
–
a
rainy
day. Your
 life
 moves
 towards
 your
 dominant
 thoughts.
It
has
been
said
that
money
is
like
 manure,
you
hoard
it,
it
stinks,
 you
spread
it
 around
it
will
make
things
grow! How
 often
 do
 people
 say
 “if
 I
 had
 more
 money
 I
 would
 give
 to
 charity
 or
 I
 would
 invest”?
 This
 is
a
?lawed
way
 of
thinking,
 in
 fact
 the
 person
 who
 hoards
 their
 money
 when
they
only
have
a
little
will
 hoard
their
 money
when
they
have
a
lot.
Money
does
not
 make
the
man,
it
simply
just
magni?ies
what
 he
already
is.

We
 need
to
 shed
 the
“Pie”
mentality
 when
it
 comes
 to
 money,
 the
 notion
 that
there
is
only
a
certain
amount
to
 go
around.
 There
is
an
abundance
of
 money
 in
 the
 world,
 there
 is
 an
 abundance
of
everything
we
need
in
 the
 world,
 thinking
 otherwise
 will
 only
clog
your
arteries
of
prosperity.

Just a thought…

“Your mind works b etter in the environment

Be

 and
 just
 about
 every
 good
 wealth
 creation

 and

 that
10%
of
your
 money
is
 for
 philanthropy.
 This
 is
 not
 your
 money
 to
 hoard
 or
 keep,
 this
 is
 to
 keep
 you
 connected
 to
 the
 stream
 of
 money.
It
shows
your
unconscious
mind
that
 you
 are
 abundant
 and
 that
 you
 can
 be
 entrusted
with
more.
This
outlet
creates
the
 inlet
 and
 taps
 your
 pool
 into
 the
 stream
 of
 money.
Once
you
are

into
that
stream
 you
 can
 then

 you
will

There
 are
 three
 things
 you
 need
 to
 do
with
your

 •
Get

Save

 •
Give

greatest

I

 is
 the
 key
 to
 great

 of

 is
 to

 and

 I
 would
 say
 most
 of
 my
 wealth
 has
 come
 from
 solving
 problems. Don’t
 blame
 or
 praise
 money,
 it
 has
 no
 power
but
the
power
you

it.
 Money

 Money
 is
 neutral,
 it
 is
 not

Money
is
powerless
by
itself,
it
is
 your
 attitude
 towards
 your
 money
 that
 determines
the
effect
of
it
in
your
life.

8 - 10 APRIL 2011 — GOLD COAST

TIME
 MANAGEMENT I
am
sick
of
hearing
the
excuse
from
people
that
they
don’t
 have
the
time,
they
are
so
busy
or
just
have
too
much
on…

There
 is
 no
 difference
 in
 the
 amount
of
time
you
or
someone
 like
 Sir
 Richard
 Branson
 has.
 We
all
have
 24
hours
in
a
 day.
It
 is
 what
 we
 do
 with
 those
 24
 hours
that
makes
the
difference.
 I
 would
 love
 to
 follow
 someone
 around
who
makes
the
 comment
 of
not
having
enough
time
and
see
 how
they
 use
 the
 most
 precious
 commodity
any
of
us
have.
 Oh
Pat,
 you
 don’t
understand,
 it
 is
different
for
me.
Branson,
well
 he
is
a
billionaire,
he
can
just
pay
 people
to
do
everything
 for
him,
 I
have
this
to
do
and
that
to
do,
I
 am
drained
and
have
no
energy,
I
 can’t
manage,
 there
is
too
many
 things
to
do
and
not
enough
time
 to
 do
 it
 in.
 You’re
 right.
 What
 ever
you
 have
 as
your
excuse
 is
 absolutely
right.
 Firstly,
 you
 are
 choosing
 to
 be
 busy,
 ?lat
 out,
 can’t
 stop,
 too
 much
 on,
 going
 going
 going.
 STOP!!!!
 Stop
 right
 there,
 just
 take
 5
 minutes
 and
 look
 at
 what’s
going
on
here. “But
 Pat,
 I’m
 just
 ?lat
 out
 maaaaaate”.
Let
me
 tell
you,
the
 wheels
are
spinning
but
there
is
 no
traction.
 Poor
time
management
is
simply
 allowing
 yourself
 to
 become
 overwhelmed
with
busyness.
 Let’s
 take
 5
 minutes
 and
 write
 everything
 that
 you
 need
 to
 do

down
on
a
piece
of
paper.
I
don’t
 mean
 an
 iPad,
 I
 don’t
 mean
 on
 the
 computer
 or
 your
 digital
 pocket
 organizer,
 I
 am
 talking
 old
school
pen
and
paper.
 Go
on
I
will
wait.
 Have
you
done
it? Are
 you
 a
 person
of
 action?
Be
 careful
 what
 you
 tell
 your
 unconscious
 mind,
 write
 out
 everything
 you
 need
 to
do,
 the
 big
 tasks
 and
 little
 tasks,
 the
 book
 you
 need
 to
 read,
 the
 education
 home
 study
 kit
 still
 sitting
on
your
shelf.
 If
you
haven’t
 done
 it,
go
 on,
 start
 now
 I
 will
 wait
 right
 here.
 Great
work. OK,
 lets
 call
 this
 your
 task
list.
 You
can
add
 to
it
 at
any
time
 if
 something
 pops
into
your
head.
 (Keep
 it
 beside
 your
 bed
 too
 as
 all
 those
 things
 you
 need
 to
 do
 generally
 come
 to
 mind
 right
 before
you
go
to
sleep.)
 Now,
 if
 you
 want
 to
 manage
 your
 time
 and
 increase
 your
 output
 you
 simply
 need
 better
 focus
on
this
list.
 Let’s
explain
what
I
mean
by
focus.
 I
believe
 the
 key
to
 the
 success
 of
the
task
list
is
the
fact
that
we
 focus
 on
 each
 task
 as
 an

individual
 item.
 When
we
 think
 “I
 need
 to
 reply
 to
 all
 these
 emails,
 return
 the
 phone
 messages,
 go
 to
 the
 bank,
 pick
 up
 the
 dry
 cleaning,
 meet
 so
 and
so
for
lunch”
and
on
and
on,
 we
 loose
 ourselves
 in
 the
 enormity
of
it
all.
 But
when
you
 say
 “I
 need
 to
 reply
 to
 these
 emails”
 and
 focus
 only
 on
 that
 item,
 the
 overwhelming
 feeling
 of
 ALL
 the
 other
 items
 is
 reduced
 back
 to
 just
 one
 task,
 which
by
itself
is
achievable
and
 manageable.
 You
 handle
 it
 better
 because
 your
 energy
 a r o u n d
 t h e
 t a s k
 i s
 n o t
 overwhelmed
 and
with
focus
 only
on
one
thing
it
gets
done
 in
the
quickest
time
possible.
 Now
you
need
to
take
the
list
you
 have
written
out
and
prioritize
it.
 There
should
be
four
categories
 that
all
tasks
fall
under:
 (RED)
 Critical
 and
 Urgent
 –
 These
are
the
 items
that
need
to
 be
 done
 immediately
 as
 they
 have
 a
 major
 impact
 to
 your
 desired
 outcomes
 with
 your
 goals
 or
 work.
 They
 normally
 come
as
an
unexpected
crisis
or
 because
 something
 was
 not
 actioned
earlier
before
it
became
 critical
 and
 urgent.
 Correct
time
 management
can
 avoid
 the
later
 while
 an
 unexpected
 crisis
 can
 be
 handled
 without
 burden
 by
 having
correct
time
management
 and
rescheduling
other
tasks.

These
 types
 of
 items
 should
 be
 well
 managed,
 someone
 who
 most
of
their
tasks
fall
under
this
 category
will
 not
 last
 very
long
 as
they
would
 end
 up
 burnt
out
 and
 the
 stress
 associated
 with
 Critical
and
Urgent
tasks
can
 be
 very
damaging
 to
your
health
 if
 endured
for
too
long
 a
period
of
 time
or
in
too
large
a
quantity.
 An
example
of
RED
items
 are
 doing
your
Tax
Return
on
the
 day
it
is
due.
 (Orange)
Urgent
but
not
Critical
–
 This
is
work
or
tasks
that
don’t
 contribute
to
your
goals
or
?inal
 outcomes.
They
have
the
 feeling
 of
 urgency
 but
 the
 end
 result
 makes
 no
 difference
 to
 your
 work
 or
 goals.
 This
 is
 where
 most
 busy
 people
 live
 their
 lives.
 Everything
 is
 urgent
 and
 needs
 to
 be
 done
 NOW,
 but
 in
 the
 end,
 the
 tasks
 bear
 no
 importance
to
their
success.
 Ask
yourself,
 can
 these
 types
 of
 items
 can
 be
 rescheduled
 or
 given
 to
 someone
 else
 to
 do?
 A
 major
cause
to
these
items
is
the
 inability
to
say
no
to
someone.
 An
example
of
ORANGE
 items
 is
yard
work
such
as
cleaning
 gutters
and
pulling
weeds.
 (GREEN)
Not
Urgent
but
Critical
–
 Tasks
 that
 if
 done
 now
 would
 increase
 your
 capacity
 to
 earn,
 re a c h
 yo u r
 p e r s o n a l
 a n d
 professional
 goals
and
 is
where
 your
 greatest
 focus
 should
 be.
 Make
 sure
 you
 allocate
 time
 to
 do
 these
 tasks,
 as
 if
 left
 to
 become
 urgent
 and
 critical
 or
 discarded
 and
 rescheduled
 constantly,
 your
 momentum
 and
 success
 will
 be
 greatly
 affected
from
such.
 This
is
 the
 area
 that
 great
 time
 managers
live
in.
It
is
also
known
 as
 training
 hard
 to
 win
 easy.
 Focusing
 on
 these
 tasks
has
the
 greatest
ability
to
achieving
your
 desired
 outcome
 and
 increasing
 in
all
areas
of
life.

An
 example
 of
 GREEN
 items
 would
be
doing
your
tax
return
 a
month
before
it
is
due,
taking
 a
night
class
in
expanding
your
 skills
and
value.
 (BLACK)
Not
Urgent
and
Not
Critical
–
 These
 are
 success
 stealing
 tasks.
 They
should
be
avoided
totally
or
 have
 a
 small
allowance
 for
these
 types
of
items.
 This
 area
 is
 where
 the
 general
 public
 spend
 their
 time.
 If
 you
 want
greater
success
in
your
life
 you
get
rid
of
all
Not
Urgent
and
 Not
 Important
 from
 your
 task
 list,
 and
 only
 ever
 engage
 in
 these
 tasks
 when
 the
 other
 3
 categories
are
completed.
 An
example
 of
 a
 BLACK
 item
 is
 the
 income
 reduction
box,
 or
 as
 commonly
 referred
 to
 as
television.
 Once
 you
 have
 placed
 all
 your
 tasks
 into
 the
 four
 categories
 above
 I
want
 you
 to
 cross
off
 all
 BLACK
items.
You
don’t
need
them. Second
 step,
 the
 RED
 items
 go
 up
the
top
of
the
list,
these
need
 to
be
done
?irst. Step
three,
 GREEN
 items
should
 be
 placed
 underneath
 RED
 on
 the
list. Lastly
 place
 all
 the
 ORANGE
 tasks
at
the
bottom.
 You
now
have
your
task
list
ready
 to
go.
If
something
new
comes
up,
 figure
out
what
color
it
is
and
add
 it
in
the
right
position
it
order
of
 its
importance.
 If
 you
 don’t
 get
 everything
 on
 your
task
list
done
that
day,
add
 it
 to
 the
 next
 days
 list.
 Putting
 the
most
critical
tasks
at
the
top
 keeps
 you
 focused
 on
 what
 is
 really
 important.
 It
 is
 known
 that
 20%
of
what
we
 do
makes
 up
for
80%
of
 our
results,
 so
 if
 you
have
 only
done
those
 items
 that
 fall
 in
 the
 20%
 category,
 you
 have
 done
 80%
 of
 what
 is

required
 for
 your
 results.
 This
 will
 be
 noticed,
 at
 work,
 at
 h o m e ,
 i n
 yo u r
 g o a l s
 a n d
 achievements.
 This
 is
 the
 difference
 between
 The
Millionaire
Mindset
and
the
 bloke
 who
has
the
 so
busy,
 just
 ?lat
out,
just
not
enough
time
 in
 the
day,
excuses.
The
Millionaire
 Mindset
 is
 doing
 the
 20%
 and
 getting
the
80%
results,
The
?lat
 out
 fella
 is
 doing
 the
 80%
 and
 getting
20%
results.
 When
 we
 look
at
 someone
 like
 Sir
 Richard
 Branson,
 he
 is
 the
 r e s u l t
 o f
 c o n t i n u i n g
 t o
 compound
the
80/20
rule.
 So
 you
 now
 have
 your
list,
 you
 now
 need
 to
 split
 it
 into
 two
 task
 lists,
 one
 for
your
day
 job
 and
 one
 for
 home.
 This
 is
 recommended
 especially
 if
 you
 are
 self
 employed
 or
 in
 senior
 management
 role
 as
 the
 lines
 between
 work
 and
 home
 get
 blurred
 and
 work
 time
 steals
 away
your
home
time.
 If
 you
 have
 a
 huge
 task
 that
 seems
 to
 be
 daunting
 or
 would
 take
 massive
 amount
 of
 time,
 break
 it
 down
 into
 smaller
 tasks.
 You
 are
 after
 the
 end
 result.
 Becoming
 overwhelmed
 by
 the
 size
 of
 the
 task
 is
 not
 going
 to
 help
 you
 do
 anything
 but
 get
 an
 ulcer.
 Breaking
 it
 down
 into
 smaller
 tasks
 that
 can
 be
 attacked
 daily
 removes
 the
feeling
of
being
overwhelmed
 and
 allows
 progression
 and
 momentum
to
the
end
result. Great
 Work.
 You
 now
 have
 your
 plan
 of
 attack
 to
 spend
 your
time
on.
 It
 is
 flexible
 and
 can
 handle
 changes
 and
 unexpected
 issues.
 You
 know
the
 priority
of
 all
 you
 need
 to
 do
 and
 if
 it
 doesn’t
 get
 done
 today,
it
will
be
there
in
the
 correct
 order
 tomorrow.
 You
 know
each
item’s
priority
and
you
 will
respect
that
order
of
thing. Pat

when you set a goal expect a problem… Now you may be thinking, Pat, that is not very motivational, aren’t you supposed to be telling us to set a goal and think positive?

I have never seen it work that way, never!

Sure, you can’t think negative and get a positive result, but what I am saying to you my friend, is that the second you set a goal, you will receive a problem, and you need to expect it. The problem might not be there straight away, but it is on its way.

The “REAL” Secret is you put your goal out to the universe and the problems will be attracted to you, you solve those problems and your reward is the goal you set. If you solve a problem and still have not succeeded in your goal, there is another problem still waiting to be fixed, so get off your duff and go fix it.

Why? Let me explain. When you set a goal, a S.M.A.R.T. Goal, you should have visualized it, you should believe it and have started on a plan to achieve it. If you just got your goal without any problems you will never be successful. Now let me tell you why the problem really comes about. It is because what you focus on you get. Know that the path to your goal will always have this problem, it may come in different forms but the problem is sitting and waiting for anyone who takes the path set for that goal. You see a couple of years back the worst thing in prosperity teaching hit the market, the plague of common sense, a book and DVD called “The Secret”. It really screwed with people’s heads; it had people thinking you just put it out to the universe and magically it will come to you. THEY GOT IT WRONG PEOPLE!

This, in my opinion, is the real “Secret”. Set a goal, look for the problems, fix the problem, and achieve your goal. If you fix the problem and still have not achieved the goal, fix the next problem that is stopping the goal’s success, the bigger the goal the bigger the problems. The only difference between a person worth a million dollars and a person worth a billion dollars is the problems each of these people solve. If you gave a billion dollars to someone who can only solve million dollar problems, they will soon only have to solve million dollar because of the problem.
