Dakshata Mandal, had organized a session on bird awareness for Children's Hospital run by Rainbow Foundation at Lokmanyanagar, Thane. The children were informed about the various aspects of environment, birds and animal world and the session was organized to sensitize children about the diseases caused by pigeons. About 20 Children participated. Shri Ganesh Shende BirdWatcherinteractedwith thechildrenthere.

Paryavaran Dakshata Mandal conducted a workshop on Pot Planting at Saint John the Baptist School. Swati Patil, Suvarna Bange along with Pournima Shirgaonkar conducted the workshop. Total 80 children of age group 10-15 participated. Detailed information on how to take proper careoftheplantedsaplingswasgiven.

On23rdMay2023,agamesessiononfood web was conducted at St. John the Baptist the occasion of Biodiversity Day, 23rd May. A total of 80 students participated in this program. Students enjoyed while learning about the various components of biodiversity through the game. At the same time, they were enlightenendaboutthoseelements.

A nature walk was organized by ParyavaranShala,DombivlionMay13th 2023 in the Ganesh temple area to identify the trees in the area and to understand their importance in the ecosystem. Aditya Kadam and Dr. Shreya Bhanap provided information and expert guidance about various trees in the form of stories. Keeping the children participants in mind the tree stories were made more interestingandeasytoremember.

GREEN LOVERS CLUB

On 30th April, 2023, a garden tour was organized in a pleasant morning atmosphere at Desai's garden,Thane. There are rare trees in Desai garden.Dr. Mansi Joshi not only gave theoretical information but also practical information tothestudents.Agreatinformativetour was conducted by Dr. Mansi Joshi and Mrs.PournimaShirgaonkar.

On the Occasion of Biodiversity day an awareness nature walk was organized by ParyavaranDakshataMandalinassociation withKalyanDombivliMunicipalCorporation at Ambivali Biodiversity Park. A total 48 natureloversfrom Kalyan,Dombivliregion were involved in this activity. The Municipal Corporation had provided bus servicefortravellingtothepark.Headof Park Department Shri Sanjay Jadhav briefed about th suchprojects.

May 2023 and many peo nge of seed collection and 21 people participated in thisseedcollectiondriveandaseedexhibitionof 45 species of seeds was held for the information of all. While touring around Devrai, we also enjoyed the wild fruits available there and also collectedseedsbywalkingintheforestandinthis seed collection campaign, seeds of 25 different specieswerefound.

Honeybee Keeping Workshop

The 4th honeybee keeping workshop was organized on 20th April on the occasion of World Bee Day at Nisargayan. The session was conducted by Mr.Subhash Isame whereheguidedtheparticipantabout the techniques used in honeybee keeping and also shared the importance of honey bees in the environment.
