Our Employee Council has organized a fund that has received several generous donations to assist the family If you would like to contribute, please make checks payable to the "Parkland Employee Council Fund" and drop them off with Kylie Bringola, our Director of Membership, whose office is directly in front of the Golf Shop We will ensure that all donations are given to the family in one lump sum, along with a list of all donors, as per the family’s preference

Please continue to keep Nicole’s family, friends, and fellow PGCC team members in your hearts during this time of grief.

Dear Members,

I am excited to share that PGCC’s First Employee Rally on August 14 was a resounding success!

This event brought together over 175 Employee Associates who were motivated, challenged, and inspired by a presentation grounded in our commitment to Ensuring Member and Guest Satisfaction

During the Rally, seven outstanding Employee Associates Camila, Gina, Mahasti, Mary, Mikaya, Peter, and Ronny were honored as shining examples of what it means to have "A Servant’s Heart”, a must-have key ingredient that is necessary to achieve our ambitious goals. Their dedication exemplifies the spirit that drives our Club forward.

In a powerful closing, all Employee Associates had the opportunity to sign a large flag bearing the words “You Can Count On Me!” a collective pledge to give the extra to accomplish the extraordinary rather than simply the ordinary. This flag will be proudly displayed in our new Employee Break Room. Thank you to our Members for allowing us the opportunity to come together, build relationships across departments, and reinforce our shared mission.

Dear PGCC Members,

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Terry McCartha, our Director of Building Maintenance, for his remarkable 21 years of dedicated service to Parkland Golf & Country Club. As Terry steps into his very well-deserved retirement, we reflect on the incredible impact he has made in shaping our community.

Terry has been with us since the very beginning. A carpenter by trade, Terry joined the WCI team here in Parkland in 2003. He has witnessed the growth of our community from the ground up seeing each house and both Clubhouses built, every street paved, and countless families finding their homes here at PGCC. His commitment and passion for his work have left a lasting mark on our Club.

For those who have had the pleasure of meeting Terry, you know the level of dedication and hard work he has brought to our community every day His presence has been integral to making PGCC the amazing place it is today

Please join us in thanking Terry for all he has done. While we will miss him dearly, we wish him a retirement filled with relaxation, joy, and plenty of fishing, boating, and time with the family!

Thank you, Terry, for everything. PGCC wouldn't be the same without you.

HOA

Dear Members,

We hope everyone enjoyed the end of the summer!

The landscaping team is putting the final touches on Canopy Common area landscaping enhancements.

We recently met with a landscape architect focusing on both the University and Nob Hill Entrances. Additional information will be provided on this exciting endeavor in our next newsletter.

As we enter the early fall months, our summer annual flowers will be removed and replaced with winter annuals which offer a vast array of colors Removal of existing summer annual flowers will commence mid-September Beds will remain empty for a

brief period of time allowing us to replace soil and add soil amendments New winter annuals will be installed simultaneously, allowing for a consistent growth pattern across the community. The timing of the flower transition will allow for a beautiful presentation for the holiday season.

Additionally, our mulch application will begin in October, when the property's interior and exterior will receive a fresh layer of mulch.

Dear Members,

I would like to take this time to express my gratitude to the Golf Course Maintenance Team The effort, perseverance, and dedication they displayed this summer during our maintenance closures was incredible.

The Team is comprised of 25 extremely hard-working ladies and gentlemen and has been led by Golf Course Superintendent Devin June since 2021.

Devin’s past work experience with the TPC network including TPC Sawgrass, TPC Sugarloaf, and TPC Dorado Beach has played a pivotal role in the outstanding Golf Course conditions on display at PGCC.

Other key personnel assisting in leading the Golf Course Maintenance Team include Co-Assistant Superintendents Tom McGuire and Roberto Campos, as well as Head Mechanic Jorge Vega

The entire GCM team has worked extremely hard over the last year beginning with putting the finishing touches on the Golf Course renovation and moving right into a busy summer of critical summer maintenance cultural practices

Well Done Team!

Dear Members,

Exciting progress is being made on your new pickleball courts! The playground, perimeter curbing, and trees have been removed and the contractor is currently working on grading and laser-leveling the area with new fill. Next up, the crew will be installing fence sleeves and bases for the lights. Following that, an inch and a half of asphalt hot mix will be laid down and compacted. The asphalt will require a 30-day cure time, during which the contractor will complete many of the smaller aspects of the project. We anticipate that the courts will be completed by mid to late October if everything stays on track Stay tuned for more updates

Our Junior Tennis Program is in full swing and there is still time to get your kids involved in the fun! Open to children 3.5 to 16 years old, this program is a fantastic way for young players to develop their skills, stay active, and make new friends. Fitness & wellness

Dear Members,

I hope you had a wonderful summer!

As we continue our commitment to your health and well-being, we are excited to introduce Theragun sessions, a revolutionary approach to recovery and performance enhancement. This advanced percussive therapy tool is designed to offer numerous benefits, particularly in enhancing blood flow and accelerating the healing process.

Theragun devices utilize percussive therapy to deliver rapid bursts of pressure into targeted muscle groups This pulsating force effectively stimulates soft tissues, resulting in significantly improved blood circulation Enhanced blood flow is vital for delivering essential nutrients and oxygen to your muscles, promoting faster repair and reducing overall recovery time

Key Benefits of Improved Blood Flow

Faster Muscle Recovery: Increased circulation helps flush out metabolic waste products, like lactic acid, that accumulate during exercise This clearance reduces muscle soreness and speeds up recovery

Reduced Muscle Tension: The rhythmic pressure from the Theragun helps relax tight muscles and alleviate stiffness, making it easier to regain flexibility and range of motion.

Enhanced Nutrient Delivery: Improved blood flow ensures that your muscles receive a greater supply of nutrients and oxygen, essential for repair and growth after strenuous workouts.

Injury Prevention: Regular use of a Theragun can help maintain healthy muscle tissue and prevent overuse injuries by keeping muscles supple and responsive.

To experience these incredible benefits firsthand, we are offering 15-minute Theragun sessions conducted by our certified instructors for just $35 per person. These sessions are tailored to address your specific needs, ensuring you get the most out of each treatment

To book your session, simply visit the front desk or email shane labuschagne@parklandgcc com

We look forward to helping you achieve your recovery and performance goals
