January 2025 EVENTS

Board of directors

Dear Members,

We hope you and your families had a great holiday season.

Thank you to those of you who attended our Board of Directors Meeting in December. For those of you that were unable to attend, please see below for a recap.

Board Of Directors Comments

Stephen McMahan reported that the committee selection process is progressing well. All committee chairs have been selected and each chair is responsible for selecting committee members. Currently, four out of five committees have finalized their members. Once the final committee completes its selection, we will send an announcement to the community

The interest in serving on committees has been exceptional, with about twice as many members applying as there are available seats. To ensure broader participation, we reached out to members who had been selected for multiple committees and asked them to choose one to serve on This allows more members the opportunity to contribute to the committees.

Management Report

Mary Banmiller provided updates on ongoing projects:

Pickleball Construction:

Completed:

Canopy concrete pads.

Base leveling

Light base installation, which also passed inspection. In Progress:

Fence pole sleeve installation began Wednesday.

Light installation expected to be completed by the end of the week

Board of directors

University Drive Resident Gate:

Heavy daily traffic (3,000 vehicles) causing frequent gate arm damage.

Last week, gate arms were struck five times; residents are charged for repair costs

Proposal in progress to replace gate operators, motor boxes, readers, and wiring for durability. Potential redesign being considered to extend space between gate arms for larger vehicles.

Tom Tripoli shared updates on other key initiatives:

Director of Wellness Hiring: Paula Bernstein will begin on January 6, 2025.

Director of Communications Hiring: Kaitlyn Schwab will begin on January 6, 2025.

Food & Beverage Journey: Tuesday's Chef’s Table event was highly praised, and there are plans to host more exclusive Chef’s Table events throughout 2025

Approvals
