The Parkland Women’s Golf Association invites women of all abilities to join us for “fun in the sun”. We offer weekly games that are geared to all levels of play. Our 2024-25 season kicks off on Tuesday, October 22nd with our Opening Day Scramble. The League plays every Tuesday morning with our 18-hole group starting at 8:40 am and our 9-hole group starting at or around 9:00 am.
The membership consists of 18-hole and 9-hole golfers of all playing levels. Signup is required though the PGCC Website, under Golf Event Registration. Each league day features a different format, team or individual game. There is a $5 entry fee daily for the competition, charged to your member account. 100% of this fee covers the prize money for that day and will be paid out in the form of PGCC Pro Shop credits.
To participate in the 18-Hole group a USGA Handicap is required. Each week our 18-Hole Women pay an Entry Fee and play for shop credit prizes. There will be team and individual formats.
The 9-Hole group consists of women looking for a more social experience. The 9-Hole group will have team and individual formats that are fun and challenging. This is a great way for new golfers and those who only want to play 9 holes to meet new friends and enjoy some golf. Each week our 9Hole Women pay an Entry Fee and play for shop credit prizes. A USGA Handicap will be established for members who don’t already have an active profile.
First Assistant Professional, Curt Cramer will be the connecting bridge between the Staff and the Ladies. He will be involved in communicating with Association participants to ensure there is fun & fair competition with full of enjoyment for all women.

Golf Etiquette
Please be prompt for tee times. Please fill all divots with sand, and repair ball marks on the green. DO NOT drive carts any closer than 50 feet from the green.
Parkland GCC Local Rules
USGA Rules will govern play unless local rules are in effect.
Pace of Play – 4 hours and 5 minutes or less for 18 holes & 2 hours or less for 9 holes.
Golf Carts must remain 50 feet from all greens
Cart Path Only on all par 3’s
Out of Bounds is defined by white stakes, non-golf course side of penalty areas, inside edge of perimeter fencing/roadways, and outside edge of the cart path on Hole #17. Model Rule E-5 is in effect for lost ball or OB, with a two stroke penalty.
Penalty areas are defined by Red Stakes and Lines
White Lines define Ground Under Repair (GUR)
In the absence of Red lines or Stakes, the grass edge will define the margin of the Penalty Area
Embedded Ball Rule: A ball embedded in its own pitch-mark in the ground anywhere in the General Areas, may be lifted, cleaned and dropped, without penalty, as near as possible to the spot where it lay but not nearer the hole.
All sprinkler heads are immovable obstructions. If a ball lies off the green, but not in a hazard and such an obstruction on or within 2 club lengths of the green and within 2 club lengths of the ball intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole. The player may take relief as follows:
The ball shall be lifted and dropped at the nearest point to where the ball lies
No nearer the hole
Avoids such intervention
Is not in a hazard or on a putting green
Ball may be cleaned when lifted
Pace of Play
Pace of play at Parkland is 4 hours and 5 minutes or less for 18 holes and 2 hours or less for 9 holes.
Ready Golf is a common sense approach to improving the Pace of Play. Ready Golf means thinking ahead so that you are ready when it is tour turn.
Keep up with group in front of you.
Limit your number of practice swings to one or none.
Line up chips/putts BEFORE it is your turn.
Use continuous putting if possible, instead of marking the ball after every stroke.
Whoever is ready should play when it is safe to do so. There are NO honors except in Match Play or when asked to do so by a Golf Professional.
Start thinking about your shot or putt while other players are hitting, so you are ready to play when it is your turn.
Be Cart Smart. Drop your rider off first and let her choose clubs. Then drive to your own ball to get ready to hit OR leave the cart with your rider and walk to your own ball with a club. The cart driver is not a chauffeur.
When a ball is lost, hit your shot first and then help look for the lost ball.
Carts must use the 90 degree rule when driving on the course.
Carts should be driven and parked behind the green if a cart path is available.
Leave clubs brought onto the green between you and the cart for quick exit.
Exit green quickly and move briskly.
Write scores down at the next tee, not at/on green.
