T

he Paradise Ridge Chamber of Commerce and its members are busily planning all manner of festive treats for the season.

Annual Holiday Preview in Paradise

The 12th Annual Holiday Preview is set for November 13-16. Visit 21 of your local businesses and get an early start on your Christmas Shopping. Participating businesses will feature refreshments, great gift ideas, and holiday décor. Enter the drawing for one of three gift baskets. By visiting all participating stores you increase your chance to win and may also explore more opportunities for buying local. Each location will have maps of participating stores by November 1st. Stores in this year’s preview include: Aunt Mabel’s, CoCo Amatrice Artisan Chocolates, Dove’s Boutique and Gallery, Feather River Hospital Gift Shop, Uniquely Yours Boutique, Heavenly Herbs and Acupuncture, HeavenScent Candles and Gifts, Joy Lyn’s Candies, My Girlfriend’s Closet, Pip Printing and Marketing Services, Sierra Gem Company, Skyway Feed and Pet Supply, Trailhead Adventures and Treasures From Paradise.

The Twelve Days of Christmas Ridgefest

The fourth annual the Twelve Days of Christmas Ridgefest, a Paradise Ridge Chamber of Commerce Merchant Gift Certificate promotion, drives consumers to local businesses to shop, enjoy holiday décor, and enter a $1000 merchant gift certificate give-away. Contestants will drop entry forms at local businesses; each visit equals an opportunity to win one of ten $100 merchant gift certificates redeemable at local businesses. In addition, local businesses give away their own prizes. Look for entry forms beginning November 21 from

participating merchants. Last year, winners walked away with everything from music lessons to gift baskets full of delicious Joy Lyn’s Chocolate. Winners will be announced at Paradise On Ice on Saturday, December 6, 5:45p.m. at Terry Ashe Park. Paradise on Ice returns for its second season from November 15th to January 11th. Located in beautiful Terry Ashe Park at 6626 Skyway, the Paradise Ice Rink is the only outdoor ice rink between Mt. Shasta and Sacramento. Weather permitting, the rink will be open daily for eight weeks. Regular daily admission of $12.00 includes skates and ten-visit, individual, and family season passes available. Food will be available at the onsite Igloo Café including coffee, hot chocolate, hot dogs, nachos, soft pretzels, and other items. The rink is
