Janeiro de 2020 Estimados sócios: Em nome da Direção do Portuguese American Cultural Center (PACC) para 2020, venho por este meio desejar um Feliz e Próspero Ano Novo aos sócios e comunidade Portuguesa. Em primeiro, quero agradecer ao Sr. Orlando Dias e toda a direção pelo seu trabalho durante o ano que nos antecedeu.

A terminar, penso ainda que é importante continuar a criar condições para atrair a juventude ao Centro; vamos defender o ensino da língua portuguesa, apoiar o nosso Rancho Folclórico e, todos juntos, continuar a fazer desta casa fantástica um orgulho para todos nós.
I would also like to thank those who have agreed to join the various governing bodies for 2020. We will be facing challenges and obstacles, but above all, we have a willingness to work for PACC’s members in particular and the community at large. PACC is the showroom of the Portuguese-American community of Palm Coast. It is up to us to uphold it with dignity, as it mirrors our culture and represents who we are. I come to the presidency with one purpose: to be of service to the Center and to represent all of our members. UNITY IS STRENGTH! We can all unite in diversity and make a difference.

In conclusion, I also think that it is important to continue to create an environment to attract the youth to PACC. We will support our Portuguese language school and our ‘Rancho Folclórico’. And together, continue to make this fantastic place a pride for all of us.

Pacc’s THANK YOU (TU) COLUMN TU to the Convivio dos Lavores for purchasing all the decorations for the 2019 events, including the New Year Celebration, with 300 chair covers and 300 chair decorations, sequin table covers and table runners. TU to Antonio & Teresa Ginja for donating the decorations & linens from their Anniversary party. TU to Mia Goulart, Tina Silva and Helena Pereira for decorating the hall for all of PACC’s events including New Year celebration & Orlando Figueiredo for his help in creating them. TU to Fernanda Pereira for the aprons made and donated & Julio Pereira for the decorations. TU to Amelia DaConceição for setting up the Christmas Tree and Holiday décor. TU to Augusto & Alice Polonio and Manuel & Ilda Pereira for volunteering at the bar and giving the “bands” at Buffets on Saturdays. TU to all the volunteers who helped out during 2019 at the events, lunches, dinners, Saturday buffets and various set ups. TU also to all who barbecue the sardines on Saturdays and help out in the kitchen and the barbecue pit. A special TU to the elements of Juventude of PACC for serving at so many of our events. TU to our members who bring desserts & baskets for raffles at the events. TU to Steve Brito of AI TECHNOLOGIES for the donation of the continuous security monitoring service.
