Baytown 6/12 km run/walk 12 July 2014 PRINGLE BAY - Runners here organize run /walk events in Pringle Bay as a fundraiser initiative for a specific cause or charity organization in need. The cause is usually announced each month prior to the event. The aim is also to promote our local businesses in Pringle Bay. The prizes are sponsored by our local businesses to introduce the visitors to our shops and restaurants. Our race events are combined with Miems Restaurant Saturday market so the runners/walkers can enjoy the lovely goodies at the market after the race. The event takes place monthly and offers all participants the option to run or walk on a well-marked 6 /12 km route. The main sponsor is Baytown Holiday Accommodation and with prizes sponsored by Pringle Bay’s local businesses and Civvio. Participants register and pay on the same day. Entry fee is R40 and pensioners pay R20 The organisers are currently trying to raise enough money for bins and benches in our town centre. Previous efforts have aleady raised funds for the following causes : Pringle Bay Fire truck; Pikkewyntjies Pre School in Betty’s Bay; KidsCan Aftercare Center in Kleinmond;

KAWS in Kleinmond; Pringle House School; Pringle Bay United Church, and the Baboon Monitors of Pringle Bay. Runners, joggers and walkers are invited to join the effort at the next event in August!
