THANKFUL

To kick off the holiday season of giving, TooJay’s, the restaurant known for its generous servings of homemade New York deli favorites, delivered lunch to the Hallandale Beach Police Department and Fire Rescue Station 7.

Raul and Gail recently celebrated the grand opening of their new State Farm Agency in Hollywood with a ribboncutting event.

RED, WHITE AND BBQ

The 7th annual Veterans Barbeque honored all the men and women who are currently serving or have served in the United States Armed Forces. For the full story, please see page 12.

THUMBS UP

It’s always a great day to be a lion. The Hollywood Lions Club are leaving paw prints all over the city. It’s their goal to always be charitable and help others.

PANCAKES WITH A PURPOSE

The Kiwanis Club of Hallandale Beach had everyone flipping over their annual Pancake Breakfast with the Police Athletic League (PAL) of Hallandale Beach. They raised about $1500 to support scholarships for children playing sports and for their own Hallandale HS Key Club seniors. 38 JANUARY 2018 | OURCITYHOLLYWOOD.COM

TURKEY TIME

The Kiwanis Club of Hallandale Beach had a joint sponsorship with the Davin Joseph Dream Foundation to give turkeys and other food pantry items to those families need during the holiday. Giving back is essential to the human spirit and fittingly the organization’s motto…”Kids Need Kiwanis”.
