The ninth installment of the Weston World Fest recently concluded, attracting nearly 3,500 attendees from western Broward County and beyond. This year’s theme, “Folk Tales, Fables & Fairy Tales,” was vividly brought to life through a rich tapestry of global cultures, cuisines, and entertainment. The festival’s Theme Village and 20 country booths allowed visitors to immerse themselves in a multicultural experience, showcasing the remarkable diversity within the Weston community.

Festival-goers enjoyed a spectacular start to the event with a performance by the Cypress Bay marching band. Throughout the day, the stage featured an array of worldclass acts, including new performers such as Wayna Music of the Andes, Polish harpist Karina Kusz, the Indian drum group Guru Garjana Dhol Tasha Patchak with Lavani Dance Group, and the Ukrainian Dance Folk Modern Group Millennium.

In addition to the performances, the event offered an extensive selection of international foods and beverages provided by local restaurants and caterers. Cuisines from India, Singapore, Greece, France, the Middle East, China, Italy, and the USA were available, celebrating the culinary diversity of the globe. The festival concluded with a raffle that included prizes such as gift certificates to local eateries, a swim school, and various children’s gifts, adding an extra layer of excitement to the day’s festivities.
