The Zelman family brought the Davie Town Times with them on vacation to Colorado. The photo was taken at Independence Pass, which is the highest paved highway over the Continental Divide. The summit of Independence Pass is located 18 miles west of Twin Lakes and 19 miles east of Aspen. It crosses the Continental Divide over the Sawatch Range. In some places, the pass is so narrow that only one car can fit at a time.
