Monsoon safety
This year’s $147.1 million proposed budget is 2.5% lower than last year’s. It focuses on essential services, public safety and critical infrastructure, while planning for rising costs and slower growth. The Town Manager and Town staff have proposed a flat budget aligned with strategic community priorities. A Public Hearing and Final Adoption is set for June 18 at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held in Council Chambers, 11000 N. La Cañada Dr. For more information, visit the Meetings and Agendas page at OVAZ.gov to view the full Town Manager’s Recommended Budget and learn how to participate.
Monsoon season is officially here, and we need your help making sure the Town of Oro Valley stays safe and clean during the summer rainy season. If you see any water quality, pollution or flooding issues, please contact the Stormwater Utility at 520-229-4850 or pw@orovalleyaz.gov. Make sure you and your family are prepared for the monsoon! Take a look at Oro Valley’s Monsoon Preparedness Guide and sign up for safety alerts from the Town and Pima County. Click here or visit OVAZ.gov and search for MONSOON.
Free sandbags for OV residents
The Town of Oro Valley will once again provide free sandbags to Oro Valley residents who may need to protect areas of their homes from storm runoff. Sandbag pickup is located at Naranja Park (810 W. Please bring your own shovel and be prepared to load your own sand. For complete details or to request staff assistance, visit OVAZ.gov and search for SANDBAGS.
