A video and transcript of Mayor Joe Winfield’s message are now available online. Click here or visit OVAZ.gov and search for: STATE OF THE TOWN. This annual event is hosted by the Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce.

The 2006 voter-approved Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) plan and halfcent sales tax will expire in June 2026. That is why this March, voters in Oro Valley and across Pima County will be asked to consider RTA Next, a public-driven, 20year plan for continued improvements to our region’s transportation network (Proposition 418). Voters will also be asked to consider a funding method, which would be a continuance of the previously approved halfcent sales tax (Proposition 419). The plan would only move forward if voters approved both propositions. We invite you to learn more at RTAnext.com so that you are prepared to make your decision.

Voter information: The March 10, 2026, vote will be an all-mail election, conducted by the Pima County Recorder’s Office. The deadline to register to vote in this election is February 9. Click here to learn more at www.recorder.pima.gov
